  1. I just want the home games to be absolutely crazy. We could easily have the pit at 4-5k, especially on weekends. Hopefully, my wishful thinking will become a reality. That finally home game was a blast, and the players just feed off our energy. Personally, I'm ever so thankful that RV is putting students on the floor, where we can provide more support for the team. We can also make a lot of noise when the other team is making FTs. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming basketball season.
  2. I pick up student tickets any while purchasing tickets for my parents and any other [none student] peeps that decide to hang with us. I know my bro's g/f's family is planning on coming to at least one game this season, along with another family friend's family. I'm doing my part to help bring people into the stadium, and I know others are too, it's the people that have never stepped foot in Fouts that we need to work on.
  3. Perhaps, but they built a chapel right in the middle of Crumley Park. Everyone complains about the lack of students on campus and how we are labeled as a commuter school. Problem is, there isn't much to do [on campus] right now. Providing space for leisure activities is a step in the right direction. If they do put in buildings there, I hope they don't tear down any of those oak trees. Plus, from the sounds of the plan, they might take out the commuter lot in front of Clark, which would make parking in that corner of the school (what is already) a nightmare for residents of Mozart/Clark/Maple/Crumley/commuter students on top of any event held at the SuperPit/Fouts/Murchinson PAC.
  4. Perhaps, by using the term commons, they'll be turning it into a park! YEAH! It's already got plenty of trees, just get the grass to grow, install a sprinkler system, and it's ready to use. Putting in some picnic tables and a swing set would be awesome. Nothing against the SigEps, but I'm glad to see that place go down. Now to get rid of the 2 [other] roach motels between Clark and the SuperPit.
  5. I think those two are observed is because it's still early in the semester. You start getting farther into the semester, and it becomes more difficult to make up material. Good Friday is a half day, but there aren't a lot of Friday afternoon classes.
  6. Personally, I hated the spring months in grade school. It was riddled with 4 day weeks on top of spring break. It actually drew out the spring semester by something like 2 weeks. Teacher inservice days were a forced holiday since the teachers couldn't work a little extra at home or at school after the school day was over to finish grades for a grading period. Now in college, I'm glad we don't break for every single holiday. It's tough enough having a Monday off (Labor day) this fall, because it puts you behind all your other classes, especially in my case where all my classes meet once a week.
  7. Like my brother's g/f. She's known since she was 5 she wanted to be a doctor And to make it more interesting, she wants to be a neurologist. She thinks that when she finishes her 2 years of residency, she'll be a neurologist. I've tried to explain to her that after the becomes a plain-jane MD, she will have another 3-4 years training for her discipline. After that she'll join a group, and be a "lower-level" Dr. in the group. She is taking organic chemistry this fall, so we'll see how her dream does fares after that weed-out class. My mom, who graduated as a Med Tech from UNL said she hated that class, and it was harder then anything she's ever fathomed.
  8. I wonder what this season's schedule holds for us.... Beating SMU and playing TTech close would make for some improvements over last year. Of course, we'd have to win over TCU again to prove to them that last wasn't a fluke.
  9. let's see if mine works...... and don't gripe about the colors either, I put my say in it, and I wanted less red and more of other colors. <_< At least when we take this flag, we'll be flying the UNT (not the Texas flag) right above it.
