I won. It wasn't pretty, 5-4, but all it takes is one point. Plus, I beat IronMan in hockey, so it's been a great week for me in fantasy sports. Well, I'm off to bed now.

Doesn't the Agusta group have tons of $$$? Also, in a sign of protest, didn't they paid for (in cash) the TV time (rather then have comercials) a year or so ago? If this is a private club, then there's nothing that really can be done, no matter how many people stomp their feet in protest.

Currently yes, but there's no telling. The UNTHSC in FW is starting at 10AM tomorrow, we could ned up with the same thing. I think it all depends on how the weather is early in the morning. You gotta remember that the morning commute may be killer.

Classes are canceled for Wednesday. UNT website This is perhaps the worst ice storm we've had in a decade for the DFW area.

I think it will be safe to say that there will be NO AM classes. However, seeing how the roads were on TV at 5pm tonight, the Denton area has been hard hit. Even if there are afternoon classes, how many students would actually risk driving if they really have to. The key thing will be, will the temperature get above freezing?

Zeke, I wish it was snow...instead...it's the characteristic sleet and freezing rain that falls in DFW.

The funniest thing tonight was the Kentucky fan throwing a fit every time the refs called something against Kentucky...I mean Southern Alablama. To add further comedy to the situation, he had the Kentucky...I mean Southern Alabama head coach sign a DUKE sign that had the 'D' and 'E' crossed out to spell UK. Maybe this was the guy that complained about North Texas on CFN. Still, the Mean Green played some good ball, but mistakes and the absence of Chris Davis really hurt us.

That...um...is a lot of free throws. Hopefully we won't have that problem tonight.

You shouldn't be worried about the cuts in classes and such this year, it's what's coming down the road that should scare A LOT of people. We're just seeing the top of the iceberg folks.

I think there has been talk of reducing the number of classes/sections in the summer terms. Sections that traditionally don't fill up could be consolidated. Also, from what I've heard through the grapevine, people like Graduate Assistants and Teacher Assistants will be losing health insurance. They might have put a freeze on hiring professors, but they might (and don't quote me on this either) end up hiring more GAs/TAs, since they can pay them less.
