  1. It might be visible from I-35W if it was placed on The Hill up by the big North Texas sign. http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/denton-texas-october-2013-eagleridge-well-site-across-from-news-photo/524193620?esource=SEO_GIS_CDN_Redirect#denton-texas-october-2013-eagleridge-well-site-across-from-the-apogee-picture-id524193620
  2. Sorry for the OT reply but something had to be done about the potential insolvency otherwise the City of Dallas would be crippled trying to fund this retirement fund. The City already is struggling to keep its police officers on the force by paying a competitive salary and Dallas has some awful roads needing desperate work to be performed.
  3. The Fire/Police pension has made several questionable investments/decisions, so the problem is not solely based within the city itself.
  4. Anyone read the presser and cringe a little when they noticed who the general contractor was and what they built that has had known problems since completion?
  5. A challenge that goes into scheduling higher profile teams for home games is that we'll sadly start off with an RPI in the basement. Programs that care about their RPI for the sake of things like NCAA tournament seeding don't like playing low level schools where there is a risk of losing on the road because it negatively affects their RPI.
  6. Dereck Thompson has been on the only winning team in the last 10 years if you want to keep things in perspective.
  7. When your offensive line is struggling to create holes using a spread formation, what makes anyone believe they'll suddenly create holes for a half or full back in something like a Power I formation?
  8. It's an uphill battle to post lights out ticket sales when NT has only had one winning season in the past 10 years. We had a losing record last year so any increase should be a good thing, right?
  9. A challenge at this point is adding one school means needing to find a worthy second school to add as well to keep the scheduling balanced. For whatever reason, papers covering eastern division schools have been reporting that all sorts of schools that are interested in joining CUSA; the latest being Liberty. Why we haven't seen any papers covering schools in the west mentioning a similar level of interest is a little odd (likely because there really isn't any), especially given that CUSA HQ is located in Irving, TX.
  10. If you go to GoogleMaps, the fields already end pretty close to the wind turbines. Doubt they'll be moving the fields any as a result of building the IPF.
  11. Other than all sorts of grading that has to take place to "move" one of the fields plus the fencing all around the two fields ...
  12. Lots of negative momentum to overcome. Outside of 2013, last time there was a winning season was 2004 (7-5).
  13. I misread the CNN article as it said Mexico received 27 billion in remittances but it wouldn't shock me if the amount coming from the US is in the high, high teens or low 20s out of the 27 billion flowing into MX.
  14. With 27 billion leaving our economy after those taxes taken out.
  15. Maybe by taxing all the money sent to Mexico?
  16. Pete left for the NFL. She's leaving for ... ?
  17. Section 118 for me. Had much better seats two years ago.
  18. It seems like University has been under construction for more than two years now. It's taken forever. I'd expect the expansion of Bonnie Brae to take a similar amount of time whenever they get around to it. I found this article on the Denton Record Chronicle that has an estimated 2023 completion "date".
  19. Did anyone read this article and wonder what the significance of whether the water fountains actually worked or not? Seems like an important fact was omitted from the article.
  20. If I were Ark. State I'd hold UM's feet to the fire and either make them pay up or play the game some other year. Food for thought: The UTSA/Houston game was canceled for this season and will likely be rescheduled for 2025 or later.
  21. If you are buying online, you will be dealing with TicketMaster's website. You can also purchase the ticket there or call the Ticket Office directly. If you call the Ticket Office this morning, there might be a chance they could be mailed out TODAY as that is what I was told for when SMU tickets would be sent out. After today, tickets will likely have to be picked up at Will Call on game day.
  22. Are you talking about student tickets or just buying tickets in general?
  23. How is it disrespectful? It's just a betting line trying to get the same amount of money to bet on each side of the equation.
