These QB threads are like roaches ... you kill one, it seems more just pop up in its place.

Hasn't Tulane had trouble gathering a crowd for home games lately?

I've been to RustOn twice..the only town...

Silly puppy, only CUSA is for North Texas. -
And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Baylor will continue to be the whipping boy of the Big 12, especially the South division. Good to know that you'll be there at home watching our team in a bowl game, wondering what it must be like for your team to be in one.
-
Yeah, did some sys-link gaming tonight with some friends. Even loaded the expansion pack onto all three boxes and played the new maps. Lots of fun ... and lots of cussing (on the part of my friends) from getting sniped from across the map. I must say, Coagulation is one of my favorite maps.

I think at this point the FW Bowl should be more worried about: 1) Who's going to the rep for CUSA? 2a) Will there be enough Big 12 teams that are bowl eligible? If so, can they get a Big 12 South team? 2b) If not is TCU bowl eligible? I think the fact that the Big 12 hasn't moved the FW Bowl up in the selection process shows just how dedicated the conference is to the bowl (ie not very dedicated). It might be more beneficial for the FW bowl to constantly court TCU, SMU, and North Texas since all could easily fill the stadium with fans and remain attractive to locals in DFW. Otherwise, you end up with the crowd from last year and then the bowl will just die after a couple years of bad attendence. And quite frankly, I don't see how tying the bowl to the MWC will help things much in the long run anyways so long as the FW Bowl keeps its tie-in to the Big 12 as the #8 draw.

I think it will be a sad, sad day when there is no eye candy in tight fitting wrappers at a college campus.

Good quote, you have made.

Just curious, but what is the "rank" according to? Also, I made see about creating something a little easier to view plus allow you to do such things as sort by weight, height, number, classification, etc.

Mean Green Facilities Upgrades Taking Shape
UNTFan23 replied to UNTFan23's topic in Mean Green Football
We seem to be pretty good at underestimating our costs. I'm a little concerned that the center court may never get built. I just hope we don't do the same with the stadium. -
MeanGreenSports.com (07-06-2005) - With numerous construction projects currently in midstream, the new era of North Texas Athletic facilities is becoming a reality. Mean Green Athletics is currently constructing a state-of-the-art tennis complex, a new playing surface for Fouts Field, a new soccer stadium as well as practice, locker room and office facilities for softball, golf, volleyball and soccer. The department is also renovating several buildings at the former Liberty Christian School to serve as a new academic center and compliance facility. The academic center will have multiple classrooms that will serve as computer labs, study halls and office space. The Waranch Tennis Complex saw its first concrete being poured last week. The future home of Mean Green tennis, the complex will house 12 courts and will have space for a championship center court to be built in the future. The first layers of crushed rock have been laid on Fouts Field and are currently being leveled for the turf installation. Additional rock as well as the drainage system will be put into place before the Sportexe turf system is installed. Stay posted to www.MeanGreenSports.com for weekly updates on all the facilities upgrades. Photo Album Link

If you want to point out history and trends, then TCU won't win its season opener against against OU. You didn't win against Nebraska. Claiming luck and whatnot depends on who you are rooting for. When I was at the TCU/Nebraska game, I wasn't there to rooting for anyone in purple (although I thank TCU for scheduling Nebraska so that I could get a chance to watch a game in Lincoln Memorial Stadium).
-
I was at that game in Lincoln, NE in '01, TCU was lucky to score that TD. The QB was scrambling for his life when he somehow saw a wide open WR on the other side of the field. Gotta love the convoluted logic ... BG gave OU a good game last year, therefore, TCU will give OU a good game this year.

Is TCU going to field a defense this year?

I'm sure North Texas fans are looking forward to the three trips to Louisiana.

Worst NT Mean Green FB Promo Idea Ever!
UNTFan23 replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Do we have such an inferiority complex where we can't have an idea be something similar (or exact) to what another school did/does? Being unique is great, but just because XYZ school did it first means we can't? Everyone knows what you mean by " Out", so why reinvent the wheel? If we try to come up with some "unique" name, people not so close to the program might wonder what the hell we're talking about. The less educating of the public at large we have to do, the better. I think we need to do like Toby Keith suggests and have a little less talk and a lot more action, folks. <_< -
NT Collegiate License Plate UPDATE

It's time the alumni start holding the administration accountable for their [in-]actions. I can't imagine getting to keep your job while doing nothing but make empty promises. <_< <_ -
Who Will NORTH TEXAS Beat By The Largest Margin
UNTFan23 replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Go here for everything the Athletic Department has planned for facility upgrades. Right now, we are building a "12 court" tennis complex with a master center court. We are also looking at upgrades to the Women's Sports Complex (which includes soccer and softball stadiums, locker rooms, coaches offices, meeting rooms, volleyball and auxillary gym for basketball, and finally an indoor practice golf facility) On the horizon within the next year is hopefully a new baseball stadium. -
So who put us over the edge?

Do you know any other places that sells Shiner in a can? Back to the topic at hand ... the homestead is on the western edge of the Fort [Worth] ... it takes about 45 minutes if the traffic doesn't get snarled up. -
I think Chicken Express is now part of the Clark Hall experience.

Is there any way we could get them to change their colors from Orange/White to Green/White. If it worked for aTm, I don't see why it couldn't work for us.
