  1. Since it doesn't even reference North Texas, it is good to sell. Stick a NT logo on it and things suddenly change.
  2. It's not just their rush offense that bothers me, their pass defense is pretty good as well. 10 INTs so far this season to lead the conference.
  3. I thought the CUSA tie-in was dropped for this season only. It's what I've read in several articles. While the Big10 has a tie-in with the HOD Bowl, they seem to only send a team every other year to play.
  4. Mason moved into the Number 8 spot in total all time passing yards: Career Passing Yards Place Player Seasons Total Yards 1 Mitch Maher 1991-94 8,519 2 Derek Thompson 2009-13 7,447 3 Steve Ramsey 1967-69 7,076 4 Scott Davis 1987-90 6,923 5 Scott Hall 2000-04 5,975 6 Giovanni Vizza 2007-08 5,146 7 Jason Mills 1994-97 3,981 8 Mason Fine 2016-Present 3,368 9 Vidal Carlin 1965-66 3,233 10 Riley Dodge 2008-10 3,187
  5. On the institution or individuals employed (or formally employed) by the university?
  6. He was likely hearing himself over the PA, which can be quite distracting.
  7. That win lead to this gem that will live in infamy.
  8. I still don't think their defense is as good as advertised. They struggled at stopping Ito Smith who rushed for 178 yards out of 246 total yards.
  9. How can they say we're not good on defending the rush when teams have been averaging 128.4 per game and 3.4 yards per rush.
  10. Please tell me this wasn't what you had in mind @Cerebus:
  11. North Texas staff will be helping with the running of the event.
  12. Black out game is planned for Oct. 28th game with Halloween being the underlying thought behind that uniform.
  13. North Texas is far, far from just a music school. Tour the new Business Leadership Building or the Engineering school campus and you'd see the university is pouring resources into other programs than just Music and the Arts. It's also just part of the reason the College of Arts and Science was split into two separate schools (School of Arts & School of Science). I get that perception is reality but you are feeding into that perception.
  14. Misrepresenting someone's quote is something that causes people to lose trust in a newspaper/news organization. Unfortunately it happens a lot in today's world. If someone from the NT Daily were to misquote someone from the Athletics department, I would be deeply disappointed in the newspaper if they didn't pull the article and/or issue a retraction/apology for the mistake.
  15. Well, if someone's quote was misrepresented, pulling the article no matter the subject was the right thing to do by the paper.
  16. Sounds like there were some errors in the opinion article resulting in the NT Daily pulling the article.
  17. Down to 3 point underdogs.
  18. Yeah, and I don't think the Armed Forces bowl would be excited to having the Raiders back any time soon given how the team behaved.
  19. I don't either after they had one of their players ejected for his second Unsportsmanlike-Conduct penalty. As a team they had four of those penalties called against the Raiders. Middle Tennessee issues apologies for conduct vs. Navy
  20. It's not harmless if someone felt offended or put off by his comment or the tone in which he said it.
  21. I think this statement is subjective. I know a couple people who hunt that love using "assault" style guns and are pretty good at it.
  22. + penalties. Those killed us against Iowa and to a lesser degree, SMU.
