  1. That's life as a G5 school. Considering bowl invites aren't due out for at least another two whole months, this is a pretty bold statement to make.
  2. Not even Homecoming can provide us a boost?
  3. Corinth has some decent hotels that might still have rooms available.
  4. Man, everyone gonna be using my super secret entrance into the Red lot now.
  5. 380 has tons of construction going on as well. I haven't been up that way but there was some major work going on at 380/DNT but it could be finished by now.
  6. Here's an article about the 288/Brinkers project: Link Sadly, it won't be finished until next summer.
  7. Technically the 35Express project is now complete. The contractor working on the remaining stretch of 35E is different than the one that handled the 35Express project. With the Bucees going in, the City of Denton put some money in to have the 288 interchange redone along with the new overpass at Brinker Rd.
  8. Tulsa and Tulane leaving wasn't something we had any control over. I'm sure when we first joined, having Tulsa and Tulane as conferencemates was another positive to switching conferences. I don't know if there were any vetos against ODU and Charlotte and NT certainly could have cast that vote so why throw dirt on something like that?
  9. It could be moving to the MWC ends up being a zero sum game where the additional revenue makes up for the increase in travel costs, but is the lack of a nearby opponent worth it? I remember how our fans opined about having a nearby team (in Texas) in the same conference as us. Part of our recruiting pitch is that we play teams that parents of recruits can travel to (Houston, San Antonio, and Ruston, LA) to watch their kids play games. Today we have that and now we want our nearest opponent to be in New Mexico more than 8 hours away.
  10. Members of the MWC have indicated they'd rather sacrifice TV revenue in an effort to get more games that fans will attend to drive up ticket/gate revenues for games. What Cerebus said.
  11. A big problem is everyone is focused on just Football. All of our sports will have to travel to California/Idaho/Colorado/Nevada for away games and thusly, be situated with less than ideal start times.
  12. By WAC I'm going to guess you mean Mountain West. I personally think waiting for the next round of realignment is better as there is a much larger chance of staying in a more regional (and thus more travel friendly) conference.
  13. To Bill Brasky!
  14. Any chance I could blame autocorrect for my misspelling and you believe me? 😂
  15. What does Ray represent? Is it neutral as well?
  16. What are your thoughts on a football stadium that is about the same distance away from where most the students live as the new basketball arena would be?
  17. As an FYI: A baseball stadium and new basketball arena are also on the Athletics Master Plan.
  18. This couldn't be farther from the truth.
  19. I think it's more important to see what the draw power is for CUSA teams as we have four of those games at home every year. We shouldn't be expanding the stadium for a P5 opponent we might have once every 4 or so years.
  20. NTTV does a pre-game show already. I wonder what it would take to get that onto Facebook.
  21. It how it's always been done. I think when winning becomes the norm and tickets are hard to get, you will see season ticket sales go up and fewer walk-ups on game day.
  22. There's only so much money in the marketing/advertising pot every year. The AD needs to be judicious in its use of those funds for each game.
  23. Doh! 🤦‍♂️
  24. When your social media game doesn't back up what is actually taking place on the field:
