  1. You would be correct. 4th and 4 at CLT26 PENALTY UNT roughing the kicker (OGUNMAKIN, A.) 5 yards to the CLT31, 1ST DOWN CLT.
  2. I was referring to MGSF members that have more points than me who also have basketball tickets that sit in the same "section" that I sit in.
  3. I'm hoping I get to keep my seats. It's tough to say how many are above me in my section.
  4. Moving the scoreboards has been in the plans since Baker took over. He also wants to improve the PA/sound system in Apogee.
  5. I'm not so sure about "recent." Children born the year Texas last won the national championship are in high school today and are almost old enough to drive.
  6. Our tailgate this year:
  7. So no reason to show up no earlier than an hour before kick off.
  8. UNT isn't the one to convince to enhance the cell service, it's the carriers you need to convince that for 6 days a year they need to account for a massive surge in usage within the footprint Apogee sits in.
  9. Couple of things I noticed in the email I received today: Face coverings will be required. Apogee bowl will be at 25% capacity, which is something like 7,600 available seats. It'll be easy to transfer tickets to a family member or friend. If you're used to sitting with a group of friends, that likely won't happen this season. Nothing about tailgating was mentioned. Given that we have four home games before mid-October, I'm not in favor of wearing a facemask for 3+ hours in the heat.
  10. The challenge with this is that what if you don't have enough players to fill out a 2-deep depth chart? What happens if during the season one or more players contract COVID-19 and those players plus any players and staff members exposed must then be quarantined where they don't have enough players to field a team? A big concern the universities have is that they are worried that they could be sued if a player or staff member gets sick.
  11. PAC-12 likely to cancel/postpone fall 2020 sports as well. https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2020/08/10/pac-12-reportedly-canceling-football-season-coronavirus-covid-19/
  12. I think it will have to do with how Title IX is observed. From the NCAA website: It doesn't seem like equal treatment of other athletes who aren't members of the football program to not grant them a share of the 50/50 split of the revenue(!!!) from the athletic budget. This is more or less covered in one of the FAQs Revenue or profit sharing would be considered a benefit and should be applied equitably across all sports and genders.
  13. The 50/50 revenue(!!!) sharing would have to be applied for all sports and for both male and female athletes.
  14. The Pac-12 just announced they are following the Big-10 that they are playing conference games only. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/pac-12-follows-big-tens-lead-moves-to-conference-only-college-football-schedule-for-2020-season/
  15. Maybe? Hopefully we aren't counting on the revenue from the canceled game with aTm.
  16. Federal and state moneys are tied to students being physically present in a classroom. School districts cannot survive on local taxes alone. When it came to virtual learning, many students would "check in" for attendance but never turned in any work (yet many were given passing grades anyway).
  17. FBS opponents for NT are aTm, Houston, and SMU. I'm not sure what the payout is for the aTm game but I don't think we're in as bad a position as other programs if that particular game gets canceled.
  18. I can't begin to imagine the logistics of trying to reschedule the three main sports (Football, Men's and Women's basketball) on top of other pro sports (possibly NFL, Hockey, and NBA) for TV and some facilities for the spring.
  19. Chances are the money for that athletic center that is being built is already spent. Also, educational funding and athletics funding have to come from two very different pots of money.
