Last year's UT game proves nothing about any point!! How does anyone think that it's a good thing that our two QB's will go into arguably our most important game of the season without taking any snaps EVER!!!!! You can only prepare so much and play against each other so much. Meager and Phillips would have gotten a great benefit from getting their feet wet at LSU in a hostile environment! Of course, with their feet wet, their shoes wouldn't be salvageable and JohnDenver would streal them !! Read the thread regarding looting if you don't get it.

Without question this hurts NT!!! No other way to look at it. Letting Meager and Phillips play against 80,000 fans and a tough defense would have made 5,000 and a weaker defense at MUTS nothing. MUTS will be favored and rightfully so!

There isn't a more gracious guy that I've ever come across. I remember last New Orleans Bowl, my friends and I had about 15 too many beers, not that I condone drinking! Anyway, we saw Patrick at a bar and we proceeded to whip him into submission for about 20 minutes. The whole time he was looking us in the eye and talking to us like we had been childhood friends. All this while being surrounded by some quite attractive coeds. It'll be sad to see him go, but I hope he sticks around the program in some capacity.

Plumm, that's the problem right there!! You said no more injuries than most quarterback's EVENTUALLY experience. Meager has had these problems before he's even taken one snap at the collegiate level. You mention Namath and his surgeries. How old was he when he had those? Now how old is Meager? I hope Meager lives up to the hype, but a precedent has been set for him to be injury prone. But ultimately, he could avoid more injuries while at NT, but I think that would be more shocking than not.

Ok that first part is just crazy talk! I didn't want to type it this way because I don't want to sound mean, but I know no other way to get my point across. To say they don't play great schedules, they just have better conference opponents is flat out dumb. So Tech's OOC schedule is weak, they still play Texas, OU, Ok St, A&M and Nebraska. If you said they don't play a great OOC schedule, then OK. But, to say they don't play a great schedule is wrong. It doesn't matter that Texas, A&M, OU, Ok State and Nebraska are conference games, it still makes their schedule tough! I don't remember anyone on this thread calling NT "terrible." I certainly never wrote it nor do I think it. I have plenty of self-respect about my alma matar. Almost on a daily basis I whip my co-workers with Patrick Cobbs and Jamario Thomas talk. The difference is I am a realist and willing to call a spade a spade. Here's an example. We DO have a terrible conference!

UNT didn't get any Top 25 votes because they didn't deserve them. How can anyone make an argument that they do? And don't give me the ole, "well Duke got one so why don't we?" That argument sounds like a whiny 5 year-old who complains to their parent after a sibling got a toy!!! "Well, Jimmy got a G.I. Joe with Kung Fu Grip, why didn't I get one?" On a side note, do kids still play with G.I. Joe? If not, what a travesty!!

I was going through the ESPN full court schedule on Directv and didn't see any. But that can't be right, can it? At least I hope it's not right. I thought we actually had a game on one of the big daddy channels.

I didn't attend the game or even listen to it. So I have no real credible opinion. However, you can make all the comments about a player going down, but 18 - 37 from the free throw line isn't going to cut it regardless of who is on the floor. That is the bottom line. Shooting under 50% from the line is UNACCEPTABLE. I hope JJ stesses that big time. Nothing is worse than poor fundamentals in basketball and you don't have to be a great athlete to be a good free throw shooter!!!! Hell you don't even have to be talented. Free throw shooting is a repetitive skill that anyone can master with practice. 19 missed FT's! There is more than enough difference to overcome Hines going down.

I agree it is, but the fact that 22 people actually think that DD is a better choice than Spurrier is crazy. Maybe DD is voting over and over for himself like we did for J-Mo on FoxSports

To me the financial cost is bad, but the cost to our image and perception is just as bad.

Tearing down the goalposts on Saturday would be EXTREMELY lame.

We have had this discussion before. People on this board claim that DD tells potential recruits not to tell anyone that they are considering NT. They claim that DD doesn't want other schools to know who we are going after. I think it's rather absurd, but that wouldn't be the first thing I couldn't understand here.

Like usual, I am probably WAY out of touch, but who is M&M?
