UNT lands 11th 2008 commitment After a few days of trying to hunt him down, I finally talked to Southlake Carroll offensive lineman Nick Leppo and confirmed that he has committed to North Texas. Leppo has grown to 6-3, 265, and is expected to play center for the Mean Green. He is the first center in UNT's latest recruiting class. Leppo named his relationship with UNT head coach and former Carroll head coach Todd Dodge as the reason he decided to play for the Mean Green. Just to update the SMU/NT series, I had a chance to interview Phil Bennett this week and asked him multiple times about it. He says that both schools are very much talking about it. And just like us, he said if it were up to him the two schools would play every year. He sounded like he loved the idea of it and flat out said talks are in motion. Patrick

yea, but they're not going to give a crazy out of whack line that would be foolish. Yes, you are right about getting equal action, but they have to figure out also what a legit line would be. I'm sure the line will be bet down, but that still means the Vegas boys think SMU is at least a 2 TD favorite. That's still a lot of points IMO.

All of the Vegas casinos have the line out and ranging anywhere from SMU -16.5 to -17. Wow that's a big number IMO. Are they that much better than us?

I can't even believe the Green Brigade got so many negative threads. I avoided every single one of them because some people will complain about anything especially when upset. They should be dismissed. I always no one thing about our football program. No matter what happens on the field, our band will always be the better of the two. ALWAYS. This game doesn't affect me at all. During the whole predict the score thread I stayed away because I expected like 63-3. This was easy to see coming and it means nothing really. I'm not nearly as upset about this loss as I might be if we drop a game the game to SMU or another belt team.

Knox, You know I respect you, but I must disagree. Stoops was breaking in a brand new QB and has Miami next week. All bets are off in the first half and everthing is fair game IMO. I have no problem with OU tonight and Stoops is anything but classless. I hate Oklahoma as much as the next Texan, but at some point our guys have to make plays. Yes it is and the starter Allen Patrick might not play because of a banged up ankle. All that means is we might get to see Frosh DeMarco Murray who I've read might be better than all of them and even AP!!!! I've heard he's a stud.

I don't read that as putting down the program. Pete's calling it like it is! Trust me when I tell you the guy knows a lot about EVERY 1A team in the country including North Texas. We've talked Mean Green before. I probably respect him more than any other CFB writer in the country. BTW, Central Michigan is the best team in the MAC with a really good QB, might not happened, but not a huge upset if it does.
