This might be a long shot, but we are going to Portland for family vacation during the FAU game. Anyone in here live there and want to meet up and watch the game or know of any watching parties?

It's funny, I was talking to someone about how I could see Morris getting drafted. He just has the accuracy, arm strength, and quick decision making that some team in the NFL could use. Since the Cowboys suck, I would love to root for a Mean Green QB for another team. As long as it's not in our division.

As much as it sucks. This is the reality. P4s get a ton of coverage from media. Pretty much 98% of Game Day. There are even some lower P4s that don't get coverage. Just the way it is. Money drives everything.

Everytime I watch Game Day, I think this would be the perfect guest picker. One thing I worry about is if we can actually bring enough people to the game day set that we don't embarrass ourselves.

Yeah, Tech is a good team, but I would love a rematch with this defense.

Do you think FAU is that much better than Tulsa? They lost to Rice. I think it could be a trap game though. Looking forward to Memphis. I think they play the way they have the last 2 weeks, FAU will be beat and 5-1 going to Memphis would be a great game to see if they have taken the next step.

Not that Harris is Brady, but it is similar to what happened with New England and Belichick. Never underestimate how much a QB can do for a team. I.e. Fine and Morris.

This is a great point. My question is, and you can look at my other post about it, is this a different defense? I sure have seen things in these last 2 games I haven't seen from this defense even last year.

But they played in "all 3 phases".

I was going to make a thread about this, but I will just use this one. What changed? I think this defense has looked completely different in the past 2 weeks. You could argue that Wyoming wasn't a good offense, ok, but Tulsa was better on offense and they dominated them. This defense has done 3 things that I haven't seen really all year. Tackling Turning the ball over Stopping the run I will stop using the word play on Caponi's name, at least for now. Lastly, do we think it was a scheme change? Did it come from Caponi or is he just the face of someone else that is now running the defense?

To be honest, the OL was really good in pass protection. I think it was just their run blocking and opening holes that was lacking. Luckily it didn't matter.

I have to admit. Yes, the PA was very good tonight. Sounded great. Along with the team, I have to give kudos to the audio team too! 👏

As another complaint about the sound system, it looks so bush league when you can't hear the ref on penalties or there is feedback. How hard is this to test before game time? I am no sound engineer, but concerts get this right. Like any other performance. Any sound engineering alum that can explain it?

I recommend everyone watch this conference. There was a big emphasis on the change in defense. Morris had praise for it and didn't mention Craponi once. I feel like this change was not Caphony. Even Chavez at the end of the video was excited about it saying the whole defense is pretty excited about it. I am not saying this will be a world beating defense, as it hasn't really been tested yet, but with the way it has given them confidence, dare I say we might be able to get some turnovers???

He isn't listed on the depth chart for Sat. I assume he still isn't playing yet.
