Kickers can still work on things in indoors, may not get to full on punt or kick but there are plenty of things they can do for the time being.

With 17 less scholarship players than he's allowed. I'm not trying to be the argumentative guy, but he did that breaking in a true freshman QB who had no other offers, kicking off his top 3 WR options either before or during the season, and suspending another for first game. I get it, everyone can be skeptical, but when I step back from my bias view of Littrell (I think he I should a badass coach and loyal to his kids) I hear fellow HS coaches talk about how solid he is, what a great coach and football mind he is. I'm not giving him a pass, but he added a class in a month or so, took remnants of a roster who went 1-11 and got blown out at home to an FCS school and damn near won 6 in regular season (we weren't beating La Tech, Or WKU this year ) and could have gone for 7 in bowl. Obviously could have should have would have, BUT I'm sold on him and look forward to what next year brings. Year two has been the best years as far as improvement in his offenses.

He seems to be doing just fine at SMU.

Numbers aside, what you saw in their first seasons do you REALLY believe that? Give Littrell the team McCarney had that 9 win season and I believe you've got a 10 win team. Maybe more. Just my opinion. McCarney motivator, Littrell Football Coach.

In what way? I think this is a good sign that we have coaches thought of that highly that big schools come in and want them.

So when it's 103 with a head index of 110 and the state or NCAA mandates so many breaks at certain temps, you don't think it'd be beneficial to have an indoor facility? Or when it's lightning, bad weather etc? Come on, an IPF is absolutely necessary at this level of football. It shows your serious to recruits. Will it win games? Who knows but if you can gain 2 hours of practice one week bc you don't miss due to weather that definitely gives you a better chance to win a game by being more prepared. Where I'm at we have a 50 yard indoor, but it's only 30 yards wide. Can't do any team inside, so when weathers bad we get individual only, and maybe a walk through/talk. A full size indoor that's legal size would definitely impact our program in a positive way.. especially when it lightening strikes outside and we have a minimum of 30 minutes between Thor guard siren and all clear every time it goes off.

I couldn't tell you. I liked his tape more as a corner ( who needs some technique work ) more than I like him as a slot.

He probably also knows that if Football aint making money (ala winning games, selling tickets, merchandise and concessions) then baseball will be a sinking ship because the Football program supports all other athletics in the NCAA. Very few turn a profit, causing them to rely on money from football to keep programs afloat. I assume he knows that and is ready to do what is necessary for football to be successful, then add baseball once that ship is fixed. Just a guess on my part.
