So if Montgomery thinks a kids D1 he is but if Littrell does then he has to be validated by other coaches? If things follow as they have pretty consistently through Littrell's tenure so far other schools have waited until later and gone after our kids. See Houston last year at the end of the cycle

Don't see the need for a UNT beat writer to constantly tweet kids who are committing elsewhere and say held a UNT offer. I don't expect Brett to pump roses and lillies but I get the feeling he enjoys showing how "hard it is" to recruit to UNT narrative by posting kids going elsewhere. Just my feeling.

Yes but I don't think UNT has a shot in hell at landing Osafa and Chance plays a little stiff in hips, and high but he's a sophomore and makes a ton of plays. Think he is definitely worth a look at the Mike LB in the stack defense.

I agree. Staff can identify but may be over targeting. On the other side of this coin, I feel like just because we identify late and kid has no other offers doesn't mean they can't recruit just tells me they continue to evaluate and find talent. Sure I'd love to see us landing more 3/4 star kids but I'm also willing to trust the talent evaluation. Now it's time to start reeling kids with decent offer list in. For instance, they should be blowing up the Frisco kids about staying home and tying into Kason etc. get your QB to help recruit dudes you want.

Met a Hebron coach who said he seems solid to KU. Said he looked really good their first day of summer workout. He was fully released and ran good.

I had the privilege of riding on a plane to Denver and a shuttle to a hotel with Robert Finklea!!! Wow lots of great memories he and I talked about NT football for hours. Maybe from FCS or schools in the Belt. I think he's a CUSA at best. Katy is one of the most recruited stops in the Houston area for college coaches due to their prestige.

No real nuggets, but I have found several JUCO guys looking for a home that I've passed on to the staff.

I don't remember off the top of my head, but generally when we couldn't run the ball for crap because we could block the opposition is when we went to that as another way to get the ball into one of your best players hands. I am cool with 4-6 swings a game as long as they're timed out nicely and in ideal situations.
