  1. The 3:3 fits Scott much better as a MLB. Think he'll shock up. Garner will be a plug and play don't think you miss a beat, the other side I'm not sold on. Ejiya looks the part and so does Minor time to see if they can play. In regards to your earlier post, I like Young at the tackle not the Nose. He struggled a lot with double teams last year. Prefer to rotate TJ and English there. Let Young/Fluesche and Hambone/Johnson rotate with Ozougwu and Dillman fight like dogs to get in on passing downs.
  2. * RV, and Mac then add in the new competitive football coaching salaries (finally) and the 4-5 new upper AD office people lots of $$ we weren't normally spending.
  3. Breaking news, a lot of other college football teams play outside. A lot of other college football teams have no problem selling tickets. You need to win, it's pretty simple. Win and people come watch, don't win and here's plenty of other options on a Saturday to watch other football. UT has some gnarly kickoff times, Tx St, UH (where it's 1,000% humidity) it is what it is. We have a solid group of 15-19,000 fans who will show up regardless. To draw the extra crowd you must win and win and win, then they'll say oh UNT is winning I'll go check them out. However if TV or broadcast isn't telling us 6 pm nothing wrong with pushing it back and you may then draw a few more people.
  4. Players workout in the early afternoon with Womack then have player run practices certain days. It's pretty cool because they don't look too different from regular practice HC the kids know what their coaches want them doing. At least that the impression I got.
  5. Did you know Marquise Goodwins HS coaches threw him the ball as he backpedaled a bubble route instead of just running a bubble?? 🙄 (Heard via word of mouth trying to find video to confirm or deny) a coach familiar with the team says no they didn't.
  6. So the staff took a kid who had no offers, walked on, and moved him going into his senior year and he was one of two who accounted for 1/3 of our offense. Hmm.. 🤔🤔 maybe they do know what they're doing
  7. Over thats stealing. I don't bet though.
  8. I'd be willing to bet we don't see these Uniforms until the game they reveal them. Which will be first two games and maybe a conference game they think will get guys feeling good, UTSA type game. That's my uninformed guess
  9. https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2016/10/5/13167362/clemson-tigers-entrance-death-valley-howards-rock-bus-hill obviously numbers will be different but with all the tailgaters no one has to go Far... could easily be 10-12 people deep from walkway to gated entrance by the team LR. Plus if it's loud enough the visiting teams whose probably in the LR gets to hear a little roar.
  10. I can guarantee you the good ones don't care who is out there. They're throwing it to the WR the read tells him to.
  11. First thing you've ever posted that I've given a +1 to, but you're spot on. Win, win consistently recruit one or two big time kids a year and you're on your way to G5 bliss.
  12. Think his point is if it's 98 they're much less likely to come to the game vs if they bought at least one ticket vs if it's 85 they'll definitely come even if they got the tickets for free.
  13. Here is my thought on a new tradition, load all the players fully padded up in busses just like Clemson does, instead of making the laps, make it a pull out of Apogee turn right on Bonnie Brae up service road, turn right into the driveway that leads to the student athlete dorm area think that's red/blue lot.... have the team led by Drumline walk/march through tailgate section 20 minutes before kickoff. Make the people on the hill see them/feel tied to them, cheer for them as they enter get players hyped and boom a new tradition is born. Busses obviously must be decked out and obvious Mean Green busses. Bus drivers honking to get attention etc.
  14. Being named one of the top 45 DBs in the country is HUGE news... he has a solid senior campaign he's getting drafted anywhere from 2nd-4th round IMO. Dude is a freak.
  15. Hard to be elite in college with that offense because you have to recruit a very specific tough as hell kid. But you can sure win games bc you keep other teams Offense off the field for big chunks of time.
  16. Brett FOR THE WIN!!!!
  17. So we both lost to triple option teams?? Guess we should start running that offense.
  18. Their WR coach sold Lovie on the talent/skill the kids had down here. Lovie agreed to a two year window and invested a lot of time/money in Texas they flew all but 2/3 of their staff members down and they came to the A&M commerce mega camp, and a few others. I got to shoot the ____ with him bc they really like Jaxon. They offered 4/5 guys after that camp.
  19. To me it is hands down without a doubt Brett Gemas. Dude puts out some crazy work and it looks so good!
  20. Oregon state, K state, Colorado state,
  21. His family (extended) have some $$. I grew up playing ball against one of his cousins.
  22. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/6244194/580cd0cff6170839b0013520 first play he catches a ball back pedaling (my least favorite way to run bubble ever) then out runs the Desoto defense. Sign me up. Excellent pick up as a walk on.
