Kids can leave in their first year at service academies with no penalty after that there is some type of penalty like they have to pay back the $ on their years they got free school. He may have reported to camp and realized it wasn't for him. Which is ok with me, takes a dedication to yourself and country to serve. It's an issue many kids have to fight/think about who get offered by academies.

To me, it's significant because every kid in TXHSFB wants to be on this list. Yes I know that just because they're top 40/30 etc doesn't mean much. Took me till 29 before a kid had multiple offers. However, out of the I'd guess close to 1,000 OG in the state, we have three that are in the top 40 according to this site. Again, not the end all be all. But every kid in TX knows who this lonestar prospects is and wants to be on that list. I'm not sure how they compose their list either. Side note, I agree with you on bringing kids in who have more than an offer from us. However, I also see guys like Wilson, Fine, Bussey. Just from the last class who we were their only option and the dudes balled. Fine I a man giving him benefit of the doubt he got thrown to the wolves with a very bad OL and being a true freshman. Side note, someone mentioned we never beat Frank Wilson for a recruit. I was looking over our last class and Henson had an offer from UTSA. So there's that fun nugget.

Don't condone what he did, and it would be a tough call, but everything I've seen on the show and read online this was the only time he's ever been in any kind of trouble. He seems to have rebounded, and if the staff felt like he'd moved past it then I would be ok with it. In the show they said he is attending anger management, helps in a battered women's shelter, and one other thing tied to the topic. If he kept that up while here I could be down. Again, don't agree with what he did but he does seem to have paid his price and manned up, moved on and worked to improve himself. How? Go look up their other position groups and offer lists, there is always wiggle room when you make a lists like this. The fact they're on it is pretty damn impressive. The fact we have 3 of them committed is more impressive.

This site isn't the end all be all, but they're usually pretty solid in their evaluations. They have us with #39 Jordan Redfearn from Aubrey who more than likely is a swing guy for us as a OT/OG, #35 Cole Brown from Conroe HS, AND #33 Daizion Carroll from Waco Midway. This is pretty impressive haul in my opinion.

I don't think the staff will bring in guys late that can't help, cuz it'll probably effect the '18 class and we're finally close to a full 85. So using a ship on a guy he better be able to play. I'll take the LSU DE/OLB that's a true soph that's transferring. Or the OT from Cal.

Think his PT in fall was indicitive of others poor choices and consequences, combined with a lack of depth. He played well though.

I have to re watch but seems to me Manase is better of the two. Brother could play a guard or center for us, but I'm pretty comfortable saying Manase is quite a bit better than his brother. Not taking anything away from older brother.
