He put it in his twitter bio but no reference to the ranking. Could be one of the in state local places that rated him as such. I don't care what star he is I really like his tape. He can MOVE

'25 RB/LB Commitment: Jaden Manning; Mansfield Legacy: No Rating
GMG24 replied to UNTLifer's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Alot of HS kids rely heavily on being a lot better athlete than the kids they're tackling. I don't have too much concern about that as thats the guys who make 2-300 thousand a year to coach's job to fix and clean up IMO -

you watched his tape yet? Thats a big boy that moves well. Plays RB for them and takes one 70 on his first play to the house. He can RUN. You don't have to have Giant LB's in the 3 down stuff... Football players are just that. Size aint everything. You can find a lot more Zach Orr's than you can over sized LB's who got recruited because they are 6'3 225...especially at our level. The bigger they get the higher level they go. Unless NIL is involved which we have virtually none. -
The schools that do it right send the kids a graphic or two to post in their announcement... im just sayin

Rubin didn’t leave UNT for NIL money

You wouldn't take a new job if they offered you 400,000 more than your current salary? -

He is getting 400,000 of those dollars you claim he isn't. -
Hmmm That is interesting. I wasn't aware he entered. Must have seen the writing on the wall that he wouldn't be able to play here... Very weird.

I am confused. I did not make any spring practices and was too busy trying to look up new players during the scrimmage to really be able to watch OL play specifically.

It is the next best Bball league so the big boys come poach it, and we go to other conferences and do the same. It is a vicious cycle.

How was the Spring game? (new format & stuff)

Agree! It also allows for a much more high percentage throw instead of the vertical ball that is so prevalent in offenses like these. -
Does not necessarily mean we pulled it, he may have asked. We don't have to release him from his NLI National Letter of Intent, but can choose to do so.
-
He turned 15 in November, wears a size 15 shoe for now, has an 81" Wing Span and wears a 2XL Glove. He is playing football for the first time in his life this year. Will be fun to follow him recruitment as he will likely have 40+ offers before it is all said and done.
-
Not necessarily, with the attrition we are facing they may have felt they needed more play ready now guys which I don't really disagree with. This young man was going to need 2 maybe 3 years before he was ready to play championship level basketball in the AAC
-
We released him from his National Letter of Intent, he was a signee not a commit. Staff had to release him from what he signed.

The TE from UCO is going to be really fun to watch. If he has the ability to be a grad transfer he may only be here a year. That is a P5 TE. -

I guess you missed Texada completely whiff the RB in the 2nd quarter? -
I think it is one of those where there are thousands upon thousands of 6-18 year old teams competing all day everyday and need the size of the Pit to host it. I could be wrong but I believe that is what was going on to prevent the possibility.

They didn't see NIT Sissoko they saw non NIT Sissoko, a very different bball player.

‘25 WR Braden Blueitt - Colleyville Heritage
GMG24 replied to 97and03's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
To a percentage of kids it does, but the vast majority probably not. Typically biggest offer is top of the list, when they have a bunch of P5 offers then it may matter which one offers first. A lot of kids realize where they want to go after they visit somewhere. -
White stripe is strictly for film purposes. Coaches have a much better idea where the players eyes are when that giant white stripe is pointed towards where they SHOULD be looking or where they SHOULDN'T be looking. Takes the players ability to lie about where they were looking away. Eye in the sky don't lie.

Some evaluations require more film study. Why? A myriad of reasons but I know that to be the case. -
I really like his ability to handle the basketball. He's as close to Rubin's ability to handle the ball as we have on the team.

I think we may win 2 of the losses. Giving Edwards/Buggs a few minutes of rest along the way, goes a long way down the stretch. I liked the minutes he had Moore log in the first half. I thought it was exactly what we needed.
