He may have a hard time in comp 1/2 😁 -
This sounds to me like a kid who can't get test score or gps he needs so he's "keeping options open"

18' ILB Cade Barnard, Seminole TX - 3 star

Commits to Army, can't fault the kid. Good luck! -
I disagree, just have to be innovative in how you do that. Army, navy, New Mexico State all disagree.

This was part of their scheme, they were slanting and twisting into gaps. It's one way to stop or counter the zone blocking scheme Iowa was using. It's the reason we had DL running free several times for TFLs DB's when playing a team like Iowa who is so run heavy have to be able to leave their WR and run to the ball in run support. They have to also be able to cover their WR. If we pressed or took the cushion away they would just run the corners off and possibly a safety. You always give something up when aligning your defense. You gotta decide what you're willing to sacrifice.

Complain all we want, defense has to get off field on 3rd down, offense needs to put together some drives... 38 minutes to 19 in TOP will never win a game
-
Another crap ST play.
-
#4 needs to get his head out of his rear and quit screwing coverages up! Crap!!! Prestons offside hurts now. If we lose it'll be our own fault way to many dang penaltys!!
-
Ready for a new ST guy. Man I don't remember Perry's units ever sucking this bad.
-
In top of hill you lose the 35W folks view, at the point they put it anyone driving any direction on 35 split will see it. Good spot IMO
-
Scramble runs much different than a true dual threat guy. Scrambles can turn into straight line runs where speed can help gain yard but no cutting ability/change of direction/elusiveness. Again waaaayyy to many possibilities without knowing facts.
-
No doubt, but those were on scrambles primarily, not designed runs. He can scoot for sure.
-
Why not? You put a QB in who can run you've now evened out defenses advantage as they now have to account for all 11 dudes. Offenses with a non running QB are much easier to defend than ones with a running threat at QB. My guess is Bean go at hurt somehow they decided to go with this'll kid in the mean time then realized what they had and said hmmm this is solid. Had a competition for the job and this kid won bc of what he does with his feet. Hell they've had 4 D1 QBs in their last 4 starting QB's..

Why North Texas is perfect opponent for Hawkeyes pass defense

The Mean Green brings the Air Raid to Kinnick. Their average of 328 passing yards per game ranks 17th nationally. Wonder how much better it would be if we threw a few more deep balls. -
http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/lake-ridge-eagles-(mansfield,tx)/football/stats.htm Looks like they're running their QB more. 16 carriers for 116 yards in the first game. They haven't updated stats from the last game.

Shhh you're talking all logical like.

Negative, this one is cotton the coaches shirt is dry-fit.

Brelan Chancellor. please message me and tell me what you don't like about his tape. -
You hear Littrell's press conference post game said OL was directly responsible for multiple hits on Fine. Sure some where on Fine for holding it to long, but WR gotta get open for him to be able to throw to. I'm no QB apologist but the kid is working against a lot of odds and still making a ton of plays.
-
Ya we should put his back up in he's so much taller.

Here is what I'd like to see more of, Tunnel Screen, Vertical Concepts, Now routes (one step get the ball), PA pass using Wilson and Smith as decoys, giving JG 2/3 Fades a quarter (hopefully remind him to line up on the top of the #s so he has a chance), More QB run game incorporated Id like to see less Wild cat with Wilson bc we can't run block to save our lives, less RB swings after he motions, Mason Fine getting buried even after he's let the ball go.
-
SFA double covered him all night, he had 2 catches for 22 yards and 1 TD. UNT tried to cover him 1 on 1 the result a complete curb stomping. He scored 24 points on his own. 8 catches 163 yards and 4 TDs. They couldn't run the ball all night until the end when we had all but shut it down. What would it hurt after the first two TDs to throw Kishawn over the top and bracket him? Seriously disappointed in the lack of adjustment whatsoever. Offensively and Defensively to be frank.
-
Problem, covering an NFL WR one on one with no help. That's stupid

SMU's website layout and design is pretty nice. Easy to find alot of information including buying AWAY game tickets online from SMU. I wish UNT was a little more advanced in this department. Our website seems very busy to me, and with my schedule calling when they're working is almost impossible. Just food for thought.
