Then you have OL punch them in the stomach and they'll drop their hands naturally. Also you don't run the slant to the inside WR where it could get batted down. Pick your favorite outside WR and let it rip.
-
If we have Lynch there is no question he's getting the ball. We don't we have a RB who is barely over 200 Lbs I'll take my chance with JG or Kelvin Smith boxing a dude out and getting possession.
-
Harry hit the nail on the head, I was screaming to check to some variation of quick slant, fade, hot route whatever it is they run. The run had no chance from the start. How many times do they practice snapping the ball under center? I can answer that for you 0. Why don't they practice snapping the ball from under center how dumb!!! Why use valuable practice time for a play you MAY run once or twice a game? Why not be good enough to not put yourself in those situations, and be confident enough in what you do that if you get in that situation you have a play or 4 to be able to run. We should have audibled from the run on that play they literally had 10 dudes in the box. Should have checked and ran a rub type route like they did to us for one of their TD's in the 2nd half.

No doubt, however I've got skin in the game and don't want it to affect any of my kids going forward. I'd love to sit down with Wren and talk about it, I am going to try and go to games at home for TCU, SMU, Baylor maybe GAG Utsa. If we have away games scheduled, just to see what it is like.

Eric Jenkins. Came in and was targeted 6-7 times quickly and deep and played each of them beautifully.
-
FWIW, this kid has the size. Give him a year in our strength program and we are going to be having some serious QB competitions around here.
-
They all had their eyes opened when they saw the size and speed of our guys, yes even at UNT D1 dudes are much bigger and faster than your average HS kid. They loved the presentation on facilities and where the University is headed. They loved that UNT had a lot of options academically and that they had invested so much $ into new facilities not just athletically but academically. The pitch from last year to this year changed a bit, in that last year they talked a lot more about each coach and where they recruited this year they hit big time on facilities/upgrades/renovations and the new Nike contract. Didn't go into details about that only that they were maxed in storage. The facility expansion of athletic complex (offices team room etc, will begin once indoor is finished). Also fun fact the day we're done with fall practice the bull dozer will begin moving dirt for the indoor, if I heard correctly. The pictures of the new indoor looked incredible. The kids were very impressed by the different graphics etc. even the team room had upgrades since the last time I was in. Negatives: they all mentioned how tiny the weight room was, one asked where the football weight room was, as we walked in. That got answered in the facilities expansion. Looks like they'll blow out the training room and make that all the weight room doubling its size with the ability to expand further if $ allows. A bit disorganized at the end of the game, no one to grab all recruits and say ok we're going into the LR for post game speech. Kind of left to our own to figure out where to go. Also once we were dropped off in stands by the girls helping out that was the last of anyone we saw. Wish we had some type of halftime deal where kids and family went back inside saw a different presentation maybe highlights, or have Former players come in and talk about their time at the university. There is much less "hype" in our recruiting process than the other schools I've been to, and kids relate to that. Energy was a bit flat throughout the evening. When I attended an SMU (gross) game with one of my kids the energy level was off the charts and it resonated with the kids. Just my observations and what I heard from the kids. Positives- Every kid there was raving about our staff and their relationship with them. Spoke with a Local kid who we are in on, and he said he had bigger offers but he loved the staff and loved what they were building. Think we have a solid shot on him, kid has his head on his shoulders straight. He isn't one who will get the wool pulled over his eyes.

Not at that point in the game. I completely disagree.
-
Wasn't able to see from where I was sitting only basing it off what they called.
-
I'll give him credit though, he learned from that mistake and took the 3 points later in the half.
-
UAB will beat several teams. That's a solid team we had behind the woodshed, and let them breathe life back into themselves. IMO Seth made the wrong call on 4th and short to start the half. Just punt there make them drive no momentum gained. Instead give their d confidence offense goes and scores and now they're feeling good.

Kids from The Colony HS starting with class of '20 #88 Keith Miller WR, 6'4 about 200 pounds has some of the biggest hands I've ever seen and strong as can be (Hands). His speed and route running need a lot of work but the frame is there. https://www.hudl.com/profile/7838859/keith-miller #2 Myles Price RB/Corner/ATH kid is the most electric guy I've been around and personally coached. He's got IT. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/8316091/59c4043eb535b704e069e126 #11 Kenneth (Mikey) Harrington QB, Kid reminds me of Tune, but moves better in the pocket. He is going to be Elite hopefully we jump in early. He is 6'1 6'2 ( I don't care too much about height, but he weighs maybe 130) http://www.hudl.com/video/3/7650601/59c441e0f56a8a31dccce84c Class of '19 #1 Jadan Abdallah RB/OLB IMO he is a D1 Defensive player, not on the offensive side of the ball. He is working on getting adjusted to playing both ways, only played defense last year, is one of our two feature backs this year. If you'd like to see what I am talking about scroll down and check out his Sophomore Highlights. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/5666091/59c3cd0b90f0350e346e6f6a #23 Cameron (Cam) Pair FS stands at 5'9 if he was 5'11" he would already have 10 offers. Kid got us lined up and himself as a Sophomore, plays run and pass as our FS. He is a football player. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/5576143/59c512e7bd759217f0e4fc2e Class of '18 #4 Jaxon Gibbs WR/Safety/PR/KR (He's committed) He is still learning our offense expect his offensive highlights to pick up in the coming weeks. He is starting to grasp our concepts and schemes. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/5329782/59c4107390f0352e18b747a8 #25 Jay Hurd WR/Corner 6'2 probably 190 Great athlete, Dad played at Baylor and was a stud. Kid is coming into his own if he keeps producing he's got a shot to be special. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/4434598/59c505aaff0cd821d8501662

I got a crazy idea, let's throw the ball to JG a little more. -

Why? If they've offered why not play where they put him? -
Agreed, bring them UOV during season then bring them in on an OV during January. Wondering how many we can sign in December and convince to stay home early.

While I hate posting anything UTSA, this is a pretty sweet gameday experience at the beginning. -

Good tape. Like his ball get off and his knowledge of the game. Recognizes screens and sticks foot well. Be a nice pick up. -
A kid who should be in his redshirt freshman year and any other school in America with a RS Freshman QB starting would be pleased with our progress offensively.
-
No doubt, but teams don't have the opportunity to prepare properly because the system is so different than what they're used to.

Thanks, typo on my part.
