I was going through our DL this morning and a few things caught me by surprise. 1. Depth is currently a major issue, if the offense can't drive the ball and D is on field for any length of time were screwed. See Army. 2. We need to bring some play makers in (Hamilton type kids in this next class) 3. A ton of our Defensive Lineman are listed as DL not DT/DE. Most white lanyard/ total recruits I've ever seen at a game. Several massive OT types, a JUCO DL Fromm TVCC, a ton of skill kids, a kicker, a QB, a commit (Gibbs) and many more I missed. May have been 5-10 empty seats total in the team room during the recruiting presentation.

Only problem with backs cutting, they whiff QB gets killed... and Smith may leave as one of the top backs we've ever had.

No, his tape looks like every RB in county. A RB tape needs to show start and stop burst, footwork/cuts in the hole then a burst, and the ability to make a guy miss/breakaway speed. His tape doesn't have much of that, not saying he's not a dang good HS back but not a D1 back imo. 23 carries for 79 yards vs Carroll

He is really a hybrid kid he’s a true DB. He runs a 4.48 so he haS speed. He has really good press technique as well and uses his size to disrupt a lot of WR during routes. He has given up 1 catch the past 3 games

Yup he's been covering other teams best receiver and locking down half the field. He's moved to corner bc that's where the other teams top WR have been.
