  1. They told him sure you can walk on and be on the team. If we did that with ANY other kid you'd find some reason to complain about it. To each their own.
  2. No such thing, there isn't an "offer there". You can tell a kid he well give you a PWO, but there is no offer. The only offer I consider is one that comes with a full scholarship.
  3. On a serious note, I'd like us to come out and play our type of football, and see what happens. I think FAU has more skill at most positions, but we melted there last game and had no chance of recovering after the first quarter.
  4. Just setting y'all up for embarrassment in a few weeks. We knew what we were doing ;)
  5. We did win the west, technically we are champs.
  6. You really are as dilusional as I thought. Who is hanging from who’s nutsack? Seems like you like to follow a few particular posters around and try to offer some lame rebuttal only to be shown that in fact, you don’t know as much as you think you do about football.
  7. You already know I thought he could play here, the staff felt otherwise and it is what it is. Recruiting world is a harsh reality of life. I’ve sent PLENTY of kids to Filani, Harrell, Stenklyft to either see nothing come of it or them say thanks. It is what it is. Let’s not act like I’m over here dogging a kid. He has an opportunity that I would never have and I’m happy for him.
  8. Umm obviously no FBS school willing to spend a scholly?? Come on man, give it up. No one thought the kid could play at this level. It is what it is. I'm curious what Baylor freshman is playing that UNT didn't even look at?
  9. Lol to that... you want anything to do with a kid the old Baylor regime wanted?
  10. There was an announcement at the Army game, this shirt is for Girls Soccer, and Volleyball who both won Championships albeit Volleyball was regular season and not the tournament.
  11. Wife and I are driving down Saturday am early. Waiting on weather to see if we bring the kiddo. This will be my first away UNT game.
  12. Lol one leg has a leg sleeve... come on man! Step your swag game up... that's what my kids tell me all the time lol
  13. Austin Ogunmakin WR Alief Hastings HS. I made a thread about when we offered back in July. We 3 star composites on 247.
  14. There is no argument from me we have to win more battles than we are now, however we really do need to win more for some kids to take us seriously. DFW kids have so much access to additional technique training, outside their HS coaches most DFW kids are about as close to being ready to play college ball as you can be. Take the same kid move them to Hamiltons town, or locust grove, or east Tx. The resources aren't there. Sure they may have a trainer here's or there but not the 40+ like we have in DFW, heck even Houston is starting to really blow up in terms of skills guys helping elevate a kids game.
  15. Let me make sure I am understanding this correctly. You're mad we didn't look at a kid who got a PWO spot, and in the same breath are pissed we aren't showing up to schools because "every big12 school is showing up". Those big12 schools don't just meander school to school "looking" they have a list of kids to see or evaluate while in town. The really good recruiters make a few extra stops if time allows. UNT does the same thing, they came to TC once last spring to check on Gibbs and a few other kids. Came back when they could talk to them during spring ball, invited Jaxon to their camp where Reff could look at him with his own eyes outside of the tape. They liked what they saw and offered. These coaches can't just drive to every HS in Tx just to say they've been on campus. Should they try and find a way to get on local campuses sure, if time allows and they can do it in the spring. I wish more more people knew how the recruiting process worked. Dang near every school in the country puts their DFW recruiter or two on a plane lands at DFW and in 25-30 minutes that coach can hit just about any part of DFW. DFW is so picked over in regards to talent that I had a SHSU coach come through told me a kid who they and several other FCS level coaches had pinned for FCS, snatched up 4 FBS offers the week prior. Why? Bc DFW is easy to recruit hop in a car like the tape fight for kid, offer. The reality is if we want the kind of kids it's going to take to win, we're gunna have to find the Hamilton type kids, Darden/Siggers, Fine. That isn't happening in DFW it just isn't with any type of regularity. Yes I put Siggers in there bc it can happen, it just won't too often.
  16. You mean like redshrting a freshman QB who isn't tuned to speed of college game, then giving him the following season as a RS freshman to sit and continue to learn the speed of the game then have 3 years to earn the job? Man what a novel concept. Wonder how good Fine would be if he got that chance?
  17. No doubt, I'll never fault a kid for choosing a location or school. But if football is the reason you're going to school why not go to a system that can display your ability not have you being an extra blocker 85/90% of the time. Again San Diego is beautiful so he's got that going too.
  18. Brother left staff last season. San Diego is power run all day. Usually lead nation in rushing
  19. He knows 2/3 of those schools are power runs schemes right? Kids gotta do their research and quit going for the shiny name or the big conference. And we have to keep winning and putting up awesome numbers on offense.
  20. Best way is use UNT ticket office so we get credit for tickets sold.
  21. Unfortunately probably mine too... wife and I is 800 plus tickets/food. She said pick this or bowl game, so I bartered and said Road trip to Houston for Rice game and Bowl game. Then I said remember there's Buccee's we can stop at. Sold! See y'all in Houston!
  22. I was going through our DL this morning and a few things caught me by surprise. 1. Depth is currently a major issue, if the offense can't drive the ball and D is on field for any length of time were screwed. See Army. 2. We need to bring some play makers in (Hamilton type kids in this next class) 3. A ton of our Defensive Lineman are listed as DL not DT/DE. To me that says they want guys who can plug and play at all 3 spots. If a guy isn't listed under both DE/DT in my breakdown that's why. Senior DE 1. Andy Flusche 2. Josh Wheeler on passing downs 3. Tillman Johnson (hurt and I don't believe returned vs Army) Senior DT None RS Junior DE None RS Junior DT 1. Ulaiasa Tauaalo Junior DT/DE 1. Roderick Young RS Sophomore DE 1. Kevin Dillman 2. Julius Combes RS Sophomore DT 1. Bryce English 2. Julius Combes Sophomore DE 1. LaDarius Hamilton Sophomore DT None RS Freshman DE 1. Joe Ozougwu (passing down only) RS Freshman DT None Freahman DE 1. Tony Krasniqi 2. Dion Novil 3. RJ Reynolds Freshman DT 1. Tony Krasniqi 2. Dion Novil 3. RJ Reynolds
  23. Syd Moore,, no longer in the program, TJ #15 out early, lost Tillman Johnson, obviously our DL DEPTH IS SUFFERING.. please sweet baby football jebus let English come back ASAP
  24. You know anything about our dline issues right now? No DL, and a d2 LB will always cause issues.
