See above post. If you can run the ball makes pass pro much easier, DL can't just pin their ears back and go get QB gotta honor both then make the read that it's a pass and go get QB. Sometimes that .25 to .5 second is difference in sack and completion for possible long gain.

When watching yells tape, or I should say your highlights, I thought to myself boy I hope UNT tackles that dude around his knees and ankles. His thighs are tree trunks, and I don't know that I ever saw 1 guy bring him down. I sure hope our DL can create some confusion with our movements and stunts. And the LBs fit correctly. Should be a fun one!

I'll be honest, I miss that personnel grouping. Adding Smith in at H creates some issues for defenses because of his ability to chip then release etc. gives an extra pass pro guy for the deep shots we want to take. I get it that isn't air raid but man it causes a lot of issues for the defense to account for.

I love it, I think both kids have options to be PWO somewhere, but dangling a Ship in front of them may convince them to stay at UNT.

I think this game will be one of the better early bowl games. Of course I'd love for UNT to come out on top, I think this game will be highly entertaining. This game comes down to 1 thing and 1 thing only, Can UNT OL/RB protect Mason long enough for WR to beat their coverage. Which is largely dependent on how well we can run the ball, again on the OL/RB to create and find holes. How well do your safeties fit in the run game?

I think his dad went to Tech, unless Jax hasn't been telling me whats going on, everytime I ask if he's talking to anyone still the only school he said is still talking to him is Illinois. No one close to offering and he's doing the smart thing signing in December and being done with the process. As I've been able to be more involved in the recruiting process as the asst recruiting coordinator for my HS I've learned alot of weird stuff goes on in recruiting. Schools play some dirty mind games with kids. Kind of like us thinking Fine was going to be perfect last season as a true Freshman? There is a reason very very few kids come in as true freshman at QB and are actually ready to lead their teams. The game is so much different, regardless of where they played HS ball.

Bc he had 4/5 guys within inches of ripping his head from his body every snap. OL couldn't even give the standard 2.6 second pass pro.

No way FAU is below the last 5-10. They just landed a 4 star DT from JUCO. Think he was a top 6/7 DT in JUCO ranks.
