That's just 247. The further out from metroplex the less their analyst see these kids which means they talk to them less to "gauge" how they are leaning. I don't put much if any stock in their interest etc via 247. Granted when they do start adding who the player is warm on etc or predicting they're pretty good there.

Not saying the rule isn't there, but the coaches have ways around that rule. Talk to travel coach, HS coach, parents etc and tell them you're offering. Btw these are more or less educated guesses by me. I'll have to do more digging but I'd imagine that is how it happens.

You do lady who plays at tc has offers from every major college softball program and got them as an 8th grader going into 9th grade.

Bet you can't find what these guys were all "rated" before our offer... sure it's cool but I'm more concerned with the fact we're beating out multiple 6+ FBS schools for recruits. This staff can identify and evaluate talent prior to that talent blowing up. But some people will always find some reason to itch and gritch

Nope, probably looking at us taking 18-20 kids, keeping 5 open for craziness late in the game (Jan/Feb). I’m hoping we can get 90% of these commits to sign in December keep P5s from poaching us late as they panic and offer bc guys they waited on went elsewhere

Late bloomers usually don't get rated until mid season. They're already on class of 2020 now least that's what one of the 247 guys told me. That's the norm, anyway. Big time get I agree he'll need to improve some technique and pad level but I'll take a kid like this all day long.

Don’t bet on the Hs DL we have been pretty heavy JUCO at that spot since Littrell and co arrived. To elaborate a bit more. A kid straight out of HS that’s got the things you want, size, speed, strength, feet, hips, good use of hands etc. typically will be poached by P5s just because they can. JUCO guys are a little older and understand their window to play is closing so they’re more likely (not the elite JUCO but the guys we have a realistic shot at) to chose UNT over other places. I’m not totally sold on this plan, but I’m not in charge and they don’t care what I think. Lol I’d love to see us recruit more HS DL problem is you get guys who are undersized bc bigger schools don’t want them.

Fine is now up to 195 pounds, but I would like to see him hit way less than he was hit last year. I know he's tough he showed that, now let him work in a nice clean pocket 85% of the game and see what happens.

We need Corners in a bad way. Johnson will be good but I'd like to have 2/3 other options ready to roll who can all ball and after this year the Corner room looks slim.

25 I believe. That is the max you can sign without affecting the next class with blue shirts etc. I am sure we are done blueshirting guys unless it is an extremely rare situation.
