I know Omni Downtown is the main hotel. I am staying at the Omni on LBJ its about 140 bucks cheaper per night. Hopefully a large group of UNT faithful will stay there too. I think we should make threads for where different people are staying and meet up to bring in the new year!

I know we're going to HOD I already got my hotel at the Omni, not downtown but on 635. It is about half the price right now for the same night. I will get on the dart train early in the AM on Jan 1st, head over for mimosas and breakfast and tailgating then watch us bring some pain to whatever "big time" school we play.

2011- 4 JC players 1 transfer (on the roster) 2012- 10 JC and transfers 2013- 17 JC and transfers These are his first three years. I do not see anyone calling for Mac's head b/c he has a roster loaded with JC players. These guys played little to no Defense under JJ and I am the biggest JJ supporter there is. But it takes time to get kids to buy into the way you as a HC want them to perform. I am willing to wait and see what Coach Benford can do.

Top that with his kid was playing HS ball and it was a lot easier to call a few college games per week and travel to and from than being a full time coach and never seeing his boy play. I think Fran makes plenty of money traveling in the summer doing clinics, top that with his earnings from broadcasting. He probably has no desire to coach. I guess those are the two arguments.

Umm Why was I not informed about the new Alumni program?? I received no information on that before or after graduation… They had my correct mailing address. Seems to me like that would come in the mail with the diploma and be handed out multiple other times. Thank you all for the information.

Why?? If a helmet is even a little off a big collision causes the head to slam into walls of the helmet, which will then create even more movement of the brain. If the helmet fits good, then all you have to worry about is the initial contact causing the brain to move around. I know that sounds far fetched, but if the NFL who just lost a lot of $$ because of concussions is looking into it, I would assume there has to be some legitimacy to it.

I am not sure I like the idea of guessing where my seats will be. Will that change once they announce?

I wonder how soon College football would put a stop to all the crazy helmets? The NFL starting to clamp down on changing helmets (thus the cowboys not wearing white helmet with blue star) they say it creates a higher chance for concussion because the helmet has not had time to fit to the players head properly. I think it is a decent point, but curious if that will ever infiltrate the college level.

Marshall has an interesting twist by putting their best Wr's at slots creating mis-match nightmares with LBs or safeties who are not used to covering one on one. There QB is pretty smooth as well.

35 is a disaster The DPD tweeted earlier they had responded to 14 minor accidents, 0 major, 37 traffic hazard (stuck cars in the roadway) and 119 motor assists (slid off the road or stuck on the side of the road) from 5:30 pm to 8:00 am (today). I keep hearing what a nightmare stretch it is on 35 N and S bound between the Sanger Drag strip and downtown Sanger where both of those inclines are frozen solid and the grade is too high they were shut down yesterday for almost 9 hours. Stay inside it just isn't worth it.
