Will there Be a Drop Off in Offensive Production in 2014
GMG24 replied to pastorgrant's topic in Mean Green Football
The big bellies up front is my sole reason for this unit to be more productive than last year. Teams will have to commit numbers to the box and stopping the run. Making the type of throws for whoever will be our QB much much easier. More play action getting slots behind LBs crossing, quick screens, and deep posts once we have pounded it down teams throats and play action a safety into a dog cussing rant from his coach. -
Meant for some bum like me to go watch. Lol

His amateur status was in question. I am sure he was flown to and given some nice things while on the Aau circuit
-
He knows what's best for him, and where he can shine on his own island.

Billy, is this an open to public type camp?
-
90, Tx state probably and this is total guess spends a boat load of their cash on basketball and track. Still not excusable.

You must be from southlake. It's ok dodge wasn't cut for college. The dude got paid and good for him. He ran this program, no scratch that he drove this program right off a cliff.

The highlightt film largely depends on the coach making it and if they're putting the right clips in, I've seen it time and time again, kids coaches will put the dumbest plays on a highlight tape instead of things such as catching in tight spaces, showing players getting in and out of cuts, as billy illuded to one or two step cuts, defensive lineman using their hands and getting off the ball, linebackers making plays both down hill (shedding lineman AND making a tackle) and going sideline to sideline making tackles, safeties taking good angles and making sure tackles, or running down potential TDs. And Ben, you're not worth "arguing with" I'm talking facts you're talking opinions. How did all those stars work out for USM last year? I'll take what works, and what we do works. Sure getting a few better athletes wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit, but continuing to win 9 games and a bowl would be much more valuable to me. Our coaches can clearly evaluate talent, look at most every early offer we extended, most if not all have 6-10 offers or more. It's a process when recruiting and that process starts on the field.

Our line gave us 17 sacks in the last two years. We threw the ball 261 one times last year and 375 times the year before. Not sure how many two stars we have on our line I'm sure all of them, plus a center who walked on. That's efficiency. 526 attempts 17 sacks.

UNT recruiting target series — Dailon Holmes
GMG24 replied to Brett Vito's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Boise recruited 2-3 star guys developed them and kicked the dog crap out of bigger programs bc they had grown men playing against 17 and 18 year old kids from schools like OU. -

Not sure where he "ripped" on UNT, again sir, get off your high horse and just look at facts. It is ok to be a second tier school and program, not every kid can be the big time stud immediately out of HS, Zach Orr, Brelan, Trice, Cyril, Craig, I can continue. All of these guys are in the league fighting for jobs with all of those "1st" tier guys. We have the potential to become the next Boise, but potential doesn't mean jack crap. You have to win on Saturdays, and do it often and consistent. -
Hahaha nicely put SSP! That is more or less what they are right now, but for a second chance and ability to get a degree I think I'd do just about anything too. Good for them for owning up, maning up, and taking their consequences and facing it all head on. While I despise the action ans the act they committed, I love how they're handling it. Think that speaks to coach Mac and what he teaches these young men.

Ben, cusa is a second tier conference, it always will be. UNT's program is as well, I love UNT and talk about it to anyone I can. But you need to get over yourself. This kid wants to find the best fit for him, if it's not UNT, then so be it. You sir need to get over yourself. -

Great that you're doing this! -
But they can't argue with Dell... He's the man

I refuse to stress, I'll wait until signing day, evaluate and listen to other evaluators then make my conclusions 3 years later about a signing class. I would rather under sign talent wise and know we are getting a kid in who can turn into something with some coaching and have him for 4 years than get a kid who may or may not qualify then his talent level isn't what he thinks it is and he can't figure out how to work hard. Not saying this is or has been the case, just stating my opinion, which has nothing to do with any recruit past, present, or future.

Ball hawk... I love the cover 3 pick where he has no one and sees the deep post and jumps underneath once balls released. Gorgeous! -
I like how low the suites are! You're in the action. Looks like it will be a nice venue. How long till turf goes down?

Good to know our coaches can evaluate talent, and that we usually offer said talent early. -
Now for some good news: Ashton Preston commits to UNT
GMG24 replied to BillySee58's topic in Mean Green Football
He'll still get plenty of interest just like Goree maybe even a few more offers.
