  1. Random, but I heard in the first few years unt charged a very steep price to play in their stadium. Only recently did they lower it to make it an affordable venue to choose.
  2. That's right, I forgot he moved back. Dang. Him being at dunne would not have been good for us. But I would still to get a few dunne kids, usually have some good looking Dline guys
  3. Rick, I was student teaching at the time at Coppell High and was in the DC and OCs classes. They knew how big of a unt fan I was so they told me all about it. I could only say how sorry I was and how there was no excuse for that. As for Twitter I'm sure you can go through Canales history and find the tweet, he and Mcbride even had a little back and forth.
  4. I would love to tap into bishop dunne they always have a few d1 caliber players
  5. Bowen is staying put I would love some info on this topic about who they're looking at.
  6. He's staying as DC. It was announced about 4 today
  7. I don't see any Coppell player coming here anytime soon as long as their current staff is in place. This is the same staff that was there when Jacob Logan passed away, Unt was recruiting Jacob and came in a week after he passed and asked to talk to him. That is completely inexcusable. Next, their HC now in Dripping Springs, received a tweet wishing them good luck in the playoffs. They got beat the previous week by Desoto. If memory serves Canales was the one who sent it. This my friends is what we are working with in recruiting outside of Tommy Perry. A joke. Absolutely a joke.
  8. Verizon is on fox sports southwest plus
  9. Ridiculous. Ludacris. Any other word you can think of.
  10. Claude Mathis is one crazy dude. Last time he tried the college route it didn't work for long. Hopefully that will be the same case now.
  11. If we moved Perry up, I think some of you could quit worrying about DL recruitment, seeing as how most if not all of the big time recruits we got were Perry guys.
  12. guys.....it all depends on their buyout and contract language. Most every coach that gets fired or has years left on their contract are owed a certain amount. For kicks and giggles lets say it is 1 Million per year for 3 years. Then he comes to UNT and we pay him 150,000 a year for 3 years. He would be owed 850,000 a year per year for 3 years by whatever school said candidate came from. Hope that clears the water a little.
  13. Very different situations.
  14. I think selling those two fan bases on an awesome game day experience is a great idea! In another thread I asked about club level tickets. Why not open it up show them a glance and make some easy cash. Don't give them the whole run or whatever but give them a taste. It could only help.
  15. A few tweets later he talked about getting to play Tennessee next year. So far so good, but like Billy says he's a kid you keep recruiting.
  16. Soc will have trouble defensively lining up to Ennis' formations in my opinion. Their offense can score at will on them IMO. Could be whoever has ball last.
  17. Agreed, you bet your backside I am going to try. I know I could get at least the max allotment for Allen fans, and I'm sure I could round up enough Trinity fans to make this worthwhile. Time will tell. I'll let you all know.
  18. They're trying to make him quit. Anything else and this is just idiocy. I would be pissed if I was him.
  19. How about the buffalo hire of Leipold from D3 Wisconsin Whitewater to Buffalo. Interested to see how that works for him.
  20. Yep Soc I believe is up to 12 d1 commits on their team only two are lineman (both DL) ones probably an OLB in college. I was interested in watching The Colony's offense match up with SOC. Oh well gotta take care if business. Ennis has some good players that I wish UNT would also recruit a few of their players.
  21. Thank you old guy. I appreciate the response. I think it's a great opportunity for potential families especially Allen, to become part of the Meangreen nation. If they loved the game day experience of club level for HS who knows maybe they join? Why not try right?
  22. Why the need for such condescending tone. It's not like they'd make any $ on it if it stays closed... Open it up sell tickets for 30 bucks a pop (to a HS game mind you) and let people experience the club level maybe not in its entirety. The view alone could be enough to sway people to look at getting club level seats the following year. It was simply a question posed.
  23. I have a big group of friends who are looking to get into the club level for the Allen game. Does anyone know if it will be available? Can you help me get tickets? We are willing to pay 300 bucks for 12 tickets. I am a teacher/coach looking to go with fellow coaches and teachers. Any help would be great even if pointing me in the right direction. We are trying to move quick. I know this games going to get packed in a hurry.
