I think you hit the east tx trail and bring in as many DLineman as you can. They're out there, they may be tucked away in some tiny town, but the athletes out there are plentiful. Now, Tommy, Kevin, and the new DC hit the road and don't come back till you've fulfilled my list

HS coaches have their hands tied behind their backs and are trying to fight Mike Tyson. The only organized stuff they can do is approximately 5 1/2 months if they make a deep playoff run. Once their team is out of playoffs or done (once district is over) then they can't have organized practice, ie hands on fundamentals. They can suggest they can have open gyms but if they play by the rules it really stinks for them. The other thing that hurts kids (especially in Texas) is most MS coaches are future football coaches just doing their time. The kids don't really get the fundamentals, then they get to hs and uh oh.

Or did he get told we weren't an option? With all the JC Lb's we brought in makes me think that may be the case. I think we need to get back into East tx and find us some go daddy DL and bring em to Denton. Tommy, go get em!!

North Texas is NOT a hard sell. Get an up tempo offense, I'm talking 4 and 5 wide, and watch all the athletes flock, you know those kids we can't seem to get, Jerminic, kid from Greenville, etc, and be active with the AD about making money and pushing football. I agree with Mac Denton is waiting to explode onto the college football world. BUT, it will take the right coach, and the right offense. The coach that can call the right offense and recruit the right players. Can we bring TD back to simply recruit and evaluate

1. Play FAST 2. Take care of the ball 3. Play to your strength not theirs 4. Don't try to pound it down their throat, spread em out and pick up the tempo. Make those 300 lb monsters run over and over again. 5. Repeat steps 1,2, and 3.

Think about it... And I have coached thanks bud, 3-2 odd then even front impossible to be a diamond. Any type of diamond press is a 1-2-1-1 or a 1-2-2 where the back to rotate back and forth on a pendulum. I've been coaching basketball for 8 years and played since I was 6 so I've been around it for awhile. Next time you want to make an assumption make sure it's the right one. Sure people can call it different stuff but I've never in 20 years of being around basketball heard anything called a 3-2 diamond press. Since you like to flaunt your friends knowledge, where did he so illustriously play in college.

The defense, while numbers may be low, is still not great. Way to many wide open uncontested looks, rebounding (more specifically boxing out) is non existent in the 4 games I watched. Creighton couldn't throw it in the ocean in the first half, otherwise it would have been ugly. While he does receive some credit, I Wonder what those look like without the powder puffs? Honest question. I'll look and post in a second.

Thankful for kickers this bowl season.... Oh wait no, no I'm not. That was the 3rd game that a missed fg or pat directly cost me a game.

Yall know Allen HS runs basically 6 plays? Inside zone, stretch, QB sweep, and 3 ish pass plays with reads on 1 of them if they a lot of zone coverage. How simple... One thing I wish we did more was run a Jail and Tunnel Screen.
