  1. curious where you saw his JUCO highlights, all the ones I found are private highlights, I am hoping he gets eligible to give me hope that I don't have to watch A-Mac drive our bus off a cliff.
  2. matter of time, as in please do it NOW so we have 3 tight ends this year and 1 who can grow and mature while not having to be the man. Well, never mind I take that back, we do have 3 one just isn't on campus yet in Dillman, I expect him to play this year and not redshirt, what do you think Billy? I hope they move Chumley sooner rather than later, those two could be dynamic for years to come.
  3. Based on how Dajon looked physically, I would say he's taken workouts more seriously.
  4. Never said anything about work ethic, just watching the game last night and it made me sad for TM that he never reached that peak, I though his shot and game were MORE athletic than Blakes, while Blake works his but off in the offseason, he learned that from home. I wish TM could have gotten some of that push from the STAFF here while at NT. Because, well we all know coaches are extended family from home.
  5. Yeah I don't have any idea what you are referring to Tyler. There were probably 8-10 throws from the top 2 QBs (DAJON and Mcnulty) where I literally started shaking my head. Asking LBs to play the run then turn and cover a receiver is ignorant, if they can help awesome but don't expect it. That's what your corners and safeties are for. Dline job, eat blocks, and get pressure on QB, LB fit the run and make tackles in run game, get under neath routes when they can, Safeties provide run support on edges if appropriate, let nothing get behind them in passing game, corners, don't get beat deep, PERIOD.
  6. Maybe Soso Jamabo will commit to UNT when he gets out of Jail in 2 years, he'd be a convicted felon though are those allowed on campus?
  7. Came in overweight and out of shape and hasn't seemed to regain what he once had. Wasn't he going through some problems with a family member being deathly ill or something? I can't remember if that was him or not.
  8. Relijah Sherman 5'11 180 '17 According to his twitter. By the way, Bundage is up to 21 offers, pretty sure he is going SEC
  9. Ok, I was fortunate enough to attend OU during Blake freshman campaign, and also attend NT during TMs "freshman" campaign at NT. I won't lie their games are similar, Blake is obviously much, much stronger and more physical than TM, but athletically I would give the nod to TM. I watched them both very close to court side. It is such a shame, that TM, did not have someone constantly pushing him like Blake did, imagine if he did. Phew.
  10. Seriously?? Dudes covering his own....... Ya know he hasn't produced jack crap on the court so he's running off all the "excuses" so it looks like he's running s tight ship. Smoke screen and mirrors. I'd be shocked if Harris is with UNT after spring semester
  11. Our secondary will look much better this year that I am sure of.
  12. Who is wondering about fbs talent?
  13. Umm 2 or 3 of the deep balls required adjustment or were under thrown, I agree though, I didn't think they'd stretch the field vertically as much. One thing that makes me nervous was our run defense on the edge, seemed like stretch weak killed us all day on all teams
  14. He wasn't 2 bc he had 2 terrible turnovers in the scrimmage last week and green didn't. But I don't think that was deserving of him being bumped down to 4.. I know why he was bc they didn't want him running with the 1st team 0 and shredding the 2nd team defense, bc he sure had no problem vs the 1st team D. He held the ball a tad to long bc he had 2 freshman receivers who are adjusting to d1 speed, a decent TE, and a 3rd receiver Daniel khan good but not elite. That coupled with the atrocious LT play on pass blocking I though he did more than carry himself and his team. He threw strikes and made correct reads on the ZR
  15. Billy you see the young ('17 I believe) LB we had in from Ok? He works out with Ashton, and his teammate I can't remember his name right now, at a fast twitch deal. Kid looks like an athlete
  16. Yeah, I think by game 2 you're starting receivers will be Harris, smiley, and Goree boy oh boy Tee is going to be a BEAST along with Rutherford, who I think is 1 year away from being an animal, he needs to get his routes more crisp, and work on getting in and out of his break to really separate. His goal line fade will be nice to watch for 4 years. Chumley needs to move to TE by the 3rd game to work and get used to it so when we lose smith, and loving, he'll be ready to produce.
  17. Really?? He had the second OL (pretty terrible LT) blocking the first team defense I thought he looked very good, two sacks were BS he was fixing to scramble at got tagged and ref blew whistle
  18. Agreed
  19. http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/college-sports/headlines/20150418-nichols-new-coachs-goal-is-to-wake-a-sleeping-giant-morris-sees-potential-in-mustangs-fertile-recruiting-grounds.ece I would like this guy, Chad Morris gets it, all of IT. I am sure we had close to or over 5k at the start and throughout the first 3 quarters. I am however, not sure we had 1,000 HS/MS (I say that bc their coaching cards are the same) stop by our spring practices and watch. SMU and Houston have really taken to Twitter I know that it's hard to believe but even that little bit makes the university more visible, and recruits see it as excitement. Btw it looks like that really athletic QB they have is getting it figured out with some coaching.
  20. Probably bust his but during workouts, practices, and film, while DW goofs off and no one knows for sure what he gives them. But I'm sure you know so much about coaching or leading you'd trust someone who never worked hard to lead your team or unit right?
  21. I'm not defending Mac and Co. OK CONTINUE READING Mcnulty definitely is not our best QB talent wise. DAJON is kicking himself in the foot time and time again, by not taking practice, workout, film study as serious as this staff wants. He is clearly the most talented we have. As a coach, I understand you have to trust the person you're putting at the helm of the offense. I really really hope one of the senior leaders gets ahold of him, takes him under their wing, and teaches him how to work his @$$ off this summer! If that happens we may be in business w/ the up tempo offense.
  22. Speaking of gassed, our o-line just got worked by 2s on the last possession
