UNT lands post Trevor Thompson from Prosper

Emmitt I am not sure, I do know if he can bust his rear and put some serious weight on this summer he could be a nice addition with Brice. Nice to have a few 6'11 options... -
A closer look at SMU’s post-spring position battles
GMG24 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Not against any rules for coaches to be on the sideline at any game, unless during the dead period, I believe. So long as there is no contact with recruits I am almost positive this is not a rules violation.- 26 replies

yep it is probably 100 or so HS staffs who probably took a day off and all went up to SMU to watch a practice.- 26 replies

UNT lands post Trevor Thompson from Prosper

Kid can play, coached against him last two years, has to get some meat on his bones but he should be able to contribute to some extent. That is a pretty nice get for a walk on -
Sweet, a picture on Fouts can't even get one in Apogee?? Geez
-
We got out recruited by Portland, Benford needs to go NOW. Good lord wasn't he brought here on the premise he was a hell of a recruiter?? Come on man, he's got to go, it's to clear. What is RV looking at?
-
Never said he was good either, simply comparing talents and athleticism, and how it is sad that not one of his coaches along the way busted his chops to work hard and taught him what that looked like.
-
matter of time, as in please do it NOW so we have 3 tight ends this year and 1 who can grow and mature while not having to be the man. Well, never mind I take that back, we do have 3 one just isn't on campus yet in Dillman, I expect him to play this year and not redshirt, what do you think Billy? I hope they move Chumley sooner rather than later, those two could be dynamic for years to come.

Never said anything about work ethic, just watching the game last night and it made me sad for TM that he never reached that peak, I though his shot and game were MORE athletic than Blakes, while Blake works his but off in the offseason, he learned that from home. I wish TM could have gotten some of that push from the STAFF here while at NT. Because, well we all know coaches are extended family from home.

North Texas Football 2015 Spring Game Thoughts
GMG24 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah I don't have any idea what you are referring to Tyler. There were probably 8-10 throws from the top 2 QBs (DAJON and Mcnulty) where I literally started shaking my head. Asking LBs to play the run then turn and cover a receiver is ignorant, if they can help awesome but don't expect it. That's what your corners and safeties are for. Dline job, eat blocks, and get pressure on QB, LB fit the run and make tackles in run game, get under neath routes when they can, Safeties provide run support on edges if appropriate, let nothing get behind them in passing game, corners, don't get beat deep, PERIOD.- 16 replies

UNT Football Scholarship Spreadsheet

Came in overweight and out of shape and hasn't seemed to regain what he once had. Wasn't he going through some problems with a family member being deathly ill or something? I can't remember if that was him or not. -
Relijah Sherman 5'11 180 '17 According to his twitter. By the way, Bundage is up to 21 offers, pretty sure he is going SEC

Ok, I was fortunate enough to attend OU during Blake freshman campaign, and also attend NT during TMs "freshman" campaign at NT. I won't lie their games are similar, Blake is obviously much, much stronger and more physical than TM, but athletically I would give the nod to TM. I watched them both very close to court side. It is such a shame, that TM, did not have someone constantly pushing him like Blake did, imagine if he did. Phew.

Seriously?? Dudes covering his own....... Ya know he hasn't produced jack crap on the court so he's running off all the "excuses" so it looks like he's running s tight ship. Smoke screen and mirrors. I'd be shocked if Harris is with UNT after spring semester

Our secondary will look much better this year that I am sure of. -
Who is wondering about fbs talent?
-
Umm 2 or 3 of the deep balls required adjustment or were under thrown, I agree though, I didn't think they'd stretch the field vertically as much. One thing that makes me nervous was our run defense on the edge, seemed like stretch weak killed us all day on all teams
-
He wasn't 2 bc he had 2 terrible turnovers in the scrimmage last week and green didn't. But I don't think that was deserving of him being bumped down to 4.. I know why he was bc they didn't want him running with the 1st team 0 and shredding the 2nd team defense, bc he sure had no problem vs the 1st team D. He held the ball a tad to long bc he had 2 freshman receivers who are adjusting to d1 speed, a decent TE, and a 3rd receiver Daniel khan good but not elite. That coupled with the atrocious LT play on pass blocking I though he did more than carry himself and his team. He threw strikes and made correct reads on the ZR

Billy you see the young ('17 I believe) LB we had in from Ok? He works out with Ashton, and his teammate I can't remember his name right now, at a fast twitch deal. Kid looks like an athlete
