I think the whole thing is a mess. I don't disagree, but having 20+ walk ons on scholarship is RIDICULOUS. Those are ships you can use to recruit an athlete who has 3-6 other offers from other D1 schools (who evaluated the kid as a D1 player)

I am taking the route less traveled, I am talking kids who are on Scholly, more or less wasting one. While I understand walk ons are a big part of a program. To use a scholarship or 15-20 (small side) for Mac, are we really getting most out of our money? Aren't all D1 football scholy's one year? I know it may seem bad for business but lets get kids in here who can play dad gum I am tired of being so much SMALLER and SLOWER than the teams we play. Anyone else?

It seems to me the guys on the bench don't care about the guys who were in. Could it be 2 straight losses and a bad game tonight? Sure, but losing brings out a lot of truth's about athletes and coaches. Imo

Is it possible for the new HC to purge the roster of walk ons except the ones he wants to keep? Good lord seems like 1/3 or more of our team is freaking walk ons. Thanks for building us into an even "slower smaller" team Dan.

I have two questions. 1. How do you know about this kid? 2. If he was a D1 player, don't you think any of the schools around (A state, La tech, Tulane, etc) would have at least talked with the kid?

Guys Troy had ONE player who could really score it that's it, and we couldn't stop them. We look like we have never seen a zone on offense. Stand still rotate the ball 2-3 times never look to drive gaps or get it into the high post. This seasons going to get ugly quickly.

no and I would tell him at half to go home Benford read the message board and started playing 4 guards and 1 big. Our guards are athletic enough to rebound. Holston gets a jump shot on him and he will be my favorite player. Long athletic, extremely quick off the floor. Great first step to the basket.

Combs? Sure he could be "replaced" but that's a hard sell IMO. If JJ was here sure I could say anyone could leave but, we passed up Scott Cross last time around. The guy who coached a team who just beat Ohio State on the road, the guy who wanted this job. The guy who RV didn't even call to interview. Oops

oops lol fixed it. My apologies, although the little Brown kid, has the best first step we have seen from any guard in a LONG time. If he can learn to control the ball during that look out he is your PG without a doubt. Reese wants to score too much to be a true PG.
