It's that type of narrow minded thinking that drives me insane. Kids WANT to play in a fast uptempo multiple offense where anyone can get the rock. ALOT of kids really want to play close to family. Sure you will have your 5-10 DFW kids who are all but sold on going out of town or playing in a bigger conference. You know what? Good for them for wanting that. They EARNED it by having a hell of a lot more athletic ability than anyone on this board. I will be shocked if Coach can't get at least a few local Denton/Dallas county kids to flip. Mind you that will be with a whole month and a half to recruit.
-
yep, they're terrible.
-
fair enough
-
He would be VERY green. But from the clinic's I have attended and the talking he did when he visited campus. This guy knows enough football to be more than a great DC. His energy and ability to relate to kids would help big time in recruitment.

I heard from pretty close Tie in, that Harrell will be learning from Littrell but it will be Littrell's offense for a few years then hand reigns over.
-
It's called a Market. If there are no coordinator spots at a desirable school you take a position job and wait for your next destination. Coaching is a lot like the car industry (only two things I know) when a new boss comes in he usually brings his guys in. You can't stay where you are replaced by someone else's guy.
-
you think Littrell is going to let anyone except him run this offense?? Think again. He has a lot riding on this.
-
I guess I will get to see if my 4-5 wins prediction with same schedule is going to be true. Man CUSA is really sticking it to us in a bad way. I hope Littrell does what I think he can. From every single person I have connections with they say he was the best out there with regards to doing what we want. Lets see with results.
-
he is. A former player of mine said KP stopped by campus at Parish Episcopal. Their names are Ty'rick Bennett (1st year playing HS ball he's a senior) and Douglas Tucker who we already offered from this class, oddly enough Ken McClaurin used to be at that school I coached him as freshman too.

https://mobile.twitter.com/JuCoFootballACE/status/663491011558133760 If he was a full qualifier out of HS he can come this year and be eligible play immediately if he didn't qualify then yes he would have to finish up. Right @BillySee58

what district? You coach? can I add Smu and Tech?
-
Didn't he mention something about Cobb in his press conference? I have no doubt that Littrell will get this ball rolling in a hurry.
-
Why? He was a true freshman who is in his 3rd full year of playing football. He did not start playing football until he was a Junior in HS. Also, due to McCarney and Co.'s inability to recruit he was forced to play far to early before he was truly ready. He could have benefited from a ton of Practice reps vs having to learn as he goes. I have no doubt he will (in time) become a very good football and an anchor for the left side of the line.

Can I minus one myself? lol Thanks for clearing it up. Chico, wherever you are I apologize.
-
timeline off a year womp. But he was part of a staff who burned a redshirt the final game of the season... For what?
-
Chico is great at doing that. Did it to D. Thompson his last stint.

You are just a baby hiding behind a screen name little girly man.

I don't need followers SCRUB. I was just trying to share the pic. I will push you over that ledge you lean on at the home games if you don't watch out! This is a joke everyone, he is my best friend and was in my wedding. He is much bigger than I am I probably couldn't shove him over that ledge if I wanted too. Unless..... maybe I'll buy him a few brews then I have a chance!
-
competitive plays, but yes. Everything else spot on
-
he is signing Wednesday with tech, so Littrell better get on it.
-
Did anyone catch Littrell answering the what type of system he would use at North Texas on offense? His answer, "Triple Option" then chuckled and said no spread bla bla bla. I loved it!
-
Meh, I understand that. However, just looking at what this guy has done at every single college he has been to and the endorsements he has received from each player and coach he worked for? He is a winner. He will not accept no for an answer and will get results. Call me a homer all you want but I can see us being bowl eligible next season. He is that good of a coach and will bring in the same caliber of guys.
-
You mean the Elite 11 QB we have on our roster that no one else could seem to get to play like an Elite 11 QB? Yeah he probably doesn't have too many concerns. I dont blame him, any coach worth their weight in salt would be able to adapt and change their plan around a QB of that talent. I am excited to see what he will do with the kids he has.
-
I feel bad for you. Why not have some hope? This guy will turn the program around you can save this thread if you want.

Is it common practice for the President to speak first then the AD at a Head Coaching announcement Press Conference??
