Wait until you see us use The weapons we have appropriately. I think there are plenty of weapons at Littrell and Harrell's disposal. Yes even at QB I think they could make what Smith does good work. He'll Auburn did it with Killa Cam. Oh you aren't real comfortable throwing short stuff?? Ok PA and launch it 50 yards down field on a deep post or fade route. No problem. I am not saying Smith is perfect but he has tools to be an affective QB at this level -
His family is going to be more than able to take care of the $ part. I agree he thinks he's a P5 level kid and based on Periscopes I would disagree 1,000% he got his tail kicked every time he went. That was against our OL who got abused by every DE we played. it happens, kids leave or want to prove they belong, or miss home. I say stick to OK, bEAST TX, DFW, and Louisiana/Florida. We need some Miami speed on this roster.

He's a 5'9" corner who had 0 offers out of HS, and so far in year 2, none in JUCO. I'll trust the staffs evaluation of the kid if they chose to offer but I can see why they wouldn't offer also.

Monday 7:00 am - 9:15 practice, class till 3, 8th grade practice till 5:00 pm, 7th grade games 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 typically out by 9 pm IF it's home game Tuesday repeat day add 8th grade game day games at 5:30 and 7:00 out by 9 if a home game Wednesday 8:00- 6:00 woohoo oh wait, laundry, and film breakdown for HS, there till 7:30 Thursday 6:45 practice bc of schedule, 8th grade done by 5:00 and usually go watch my previous classes play freshman or JV ball, done around 9 most Thursday's Friday 7:30 practice class, 8th grade done by 4:30 so we can either scout, or get to the HS game and help out. Out by 10 or 11 pm Saturday 6:30 report time for home games, 7:00 am for away games. All Laundry, clean field house etc etc anything AD wants done we do it,usually done with that by 11:00 am and are free to go. If you have any aspirations at all of moving up better stay and help how you can with breakdown etc. Sundays during height of district and playoffs 2pm until game plan is finalized and practice schedules done for the week (optional for jr high guys) Im in basketball season now same basic schedule except game nights 7th Monday, 8th Thursday, Varsity Tuesday/Friday. Let's just say about this time of the year a break is much appreciated! Lol I wouldn't put all this here if Lifer didn't ask but we do put a ton of hours into molding the young athletes we coach, and sometimes parent them too. Adding a little button that's very common practice to take a little less time away would be nice! It really is a simple deal but it would help quite a bit.

'16 JUCO DB Darius Turner (Arizona) - SIGNED LOI

I like the offer. Watching their film I wondered if that was a possibility. He better learn how to use his hands if we press here or it'll be a lot of chasing... Soon as I say that, I get to the 2:55 mark in his highlight and he gets hands on and runs the WR out of bounds looks like Ark state offered out of HS -

Interesting New Helmet Design from Vicis
GMG24 replied to Christopher Walker's topic in Mean Green Football
I would hardly say scoffing at the issue is what's being done. They've made several hits illegal and ejectable elements in the game. They penalize, and coaches spend hours teaching proper technique (which is also beginning to change) to take the head out of tackling. See Seahawks Hawk tackling videos. I just get tired of hearing how unsafe a sport is, sure it's unsafe every sport is in their own way. Soccer headers and head butting going for headers, basketball dunking on someone and being hit while in the air, baseball getting pinked with a 98 mph fastball in the head or line drive off the face. Anyway, there are many steps being taken (costly steps) my school district bought 15,000 dollars worth of brand new helmets for my school and we are one of 15 MS in that district. They did this because they found out there were hundreds of unsafe helmets being used throughout the district.- 32 replies

We need to have a coaches section on here where we can get on and chat. Network and look out for each other like the Boys from CS.

I think the concussion issue is very sensitive. I had Docs writing notes for concussions this past year just because they don't want to be sued. Kids that I have coached in my 8 years now, 1 has had a concussion where he didn't know where he was etc, it was scary for sure. I think this issue has been semi sensationalized and while I know it's very important and can have lasting effects if my children want to play a sport I'm going to let them. Part of that is possibility of getting hurt etc. I'm a rant so I'll stop. Just don't jump to conclusions that football is the only sport dealing with them, last study I saw soccer lead the nation in all Lvls of the sport.- 32 replies

Yes, and those games (TCU) actually go through their allotment rather quick. They usually open the coaches portal at 8 or 9 am, and by 9:30 tickets gone (for big games)
-
Good to know, maybe it will get fixed. I am going to tweet Littrell about it maybe that'll help. Mark. I love the free tickets it makes getting to the games much more doable on what we make. However, I am talking about the 1,000's of other coaches in the area who would probably come to games if they could have the same process as most every university who has football in this state. Coaches can make time for what they want, but they also typically don't have a ton of free time and when they can log onto a website and click a few buttons and be done grabbing tickets in a few minutes (During the busiest time of the year for most coaches) it makes that process a little more free-flowing. I am just telling you complaints I have heard and experienced first hand. As I stated above I don't mind doing it because they are free, but if you are wanting to IMPROVE HS COACHES RELATIONSHIPS you may want to make the interactions they have with your University positive pleasant and memorable in a good way. it is suppose to be a perk of coaching. You can't bring your players with you. I take my wife and we spend time together at our University. Friends go to watch good college football game. I guess it is like allowing businessmen or women to write off lunches for business meetings. That's the closest comparison I can come up with.

I will give credit where credit is due. During the OU WVU game in a commercial break there pops up UNT mens hoops commercial featuring Jeremy Combs. Good job!

Keep looking, let me know when you find it lol

That is an understood common practice. It's called professional courtesy. You DONT take free tickets then cheer for the opposing team. I've gone to several games and worn the schools colors, but inside my head root for the opposing team. NEVER out loud it really is just common sense.
