I would like to see us pull a few good players from the Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi area. I would like these players to be OL/DL type guys, or the generic term athlete. I would like to see 70 % or more of our classes coming from TX HS ranks. Chad Morris and Tom Hermann have done it quickly at both their schools and there is no excuse UNT can't do the same thing. While I know Morris has more $ to work with and a cool helicopter, they dominate social media. I have been pleased with the staffs evaluation of kids so far, and while I know you can't win a ton of games with guys who have no other D1 offers. I believe the guys we have targeted aren't the typical I have no D1 offers. Excuse? Sure, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Sure, it may come back to bite me in the rear when someone brings this thread up if he isn't successful. However, I really don't see us NOT competing in and winning 3-5 games next season.

Don't disagree in the least and this makes me feel alot better about the guys we have offered who had small or no offers previously. I really believe this staff can evaluate talent much better than the previous one. Anyone can say the guy who will eventually be ranked 3-4 stars will be good it takes great evaluators and persistent film study to find these kids. Hopefully he will appreciate our early interest however, I will never fault a kid for picking a school he thinks is the best fit for him. I would love to see he and Joseph in Mean Green Uniforms next season though. -
No idea.... The QB reminds me a bit of Demarcus, less of the canon but the wheels are there.

http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3361100/jacoby-williams http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2475704/coree-compton Coree the WR, had 1700 rec yards, and 22 TDs in 2 seasons, can high jump 6'8" and ran a 39.8 in 300 hurdles... Oh he's 6'3 185 too.

Why haven't we slung a few offers to the G-town boys? Jacoby Williams and Coree Compton both well over the small undersized category. I'll link hudl in a second

so much.... meh never mind good for this kid for having fun, good for him being a young man and enjoying the attention he worked hard to get. I aint mad at ya!! -
On a side note, The Colony RB Khalil Banks failed to qualify and signed with TVCC. Could be worth keeping an eye on. He had 2 offers from Ark state and Colorado St. Here is his 247 page. http://247sports.com/Player/Khalil-Banks-81178

I hit the wrong button.. typing while in class lol OC my apologies.

Then we go back to recruiting kids who have little to no offers. More people complain and more negative threads. I agree with Dawn though, got to watch him several times and I have no doubt he can contribute and make plays on a Sun Belt CUSA level team.

Think this OC (edit) disagrees.

Mason Fine QB Locust Grove OK - SIGNED LOI

I think we are arguing semantics, I don't disagree that he takes Air Raid principles or thoughts and applies them into his offensive philosophy. However, to say he runs the Air Raid offense isn't true. Kind of like Baylor, and now Tulsa they both use lots of principles of Air Raid but neither claim to run the Air Raid offense. I would say we both have a good grasp of our stance we are just stating it differently. -

show me where Littrell has claimed Air raid? He runs spread tempo and multiple formations. -
People on here would itch and gritch if we won 10 games because we called that one bad play that should have been win number 11. It is just something to gripe about. The negativity is ridiculous. Let the man have a year or two of coaching and games before we say "He can't do this, or his recruits are to small etc etc"

Please enlighten me as to how Littrell's offense is gimmicky or premeditated? The qb will have plenty on his plate to read and adjust. I will let you explain your stance though, and I look forward to the response. Reminder Littrell does not run Air Raid. He runs spread. -

Not true, but that's fine. No such thing as gimmicky, or premeditated. -
MGB breaking news -- UNT lands high school QB

No doubt, but guys with few offers (due to size) have worked out before. Not saying he is Greg Ward but being Oklahoma Gatorade POY ain't an easy task. -
