  1. love it!! Come on Coach Cobbs send him our way
  2. Florida boys always have wheels!
  3. That's weak mark, and you know it. I get to every game I can. Even during coaching basketball in a town 45 minutes from Denton. Pointing out inadequacies is a necessity. Did you see me make light of anyone in attendance in black? Nope just the "major" donors who were sitting court side. I had a lot that made me happy when JJ was here, it's called winning.
  4. Those attendance numbers though!!
  5. I can assure you after listening to Ekeler and Reffett won't let that happen. Those guys ooze hard nosed, tough, not letting offenses do what they want.
  6. Yep I did note that. Nope, I wasn't there had an engagement party to go to. I was relaying a message I received finding it funny that this blackout event wasn't even close. Funny other schools try similar stuff with great success. Some are tradition, but you can't tell me the effort levels to make this event work were top notch. That is my point. We do stuff and do it halfway. I'm sorry that I expect greatness while others are good with mediocrity and piss poor results. But hey, we got some shiny new facilities...Benford is good as gone. Has he brought some talent sure, but he has driven this program straight into the ground. Thanks TB for taking the one thing I could enjoy about UNT athletics and made it a joke.
  7. Wasting resources?? They're paying those people good money put them to work! You aren't seeing the picture. That's ok, funny I don't remember Facebook or Twitter blowing up when I attended the Tech game where the lower bowl was sold out and I had to sit in the upper deck. Seems like a good hire here instead of TB would have made more sense. Oh well. Wait it a minute IVE GOT AN IDEA!!! All of our phone numbers should be stored in a database of sorts. Have TB, Combs, RV, SOMEONE ANYONE, put together a voicemail type recording and send that to everyone's phone number in the database. That takes too many resources though right?
  8. So you are good with one tweet, one fb post (judging by the crowds I've seen the last 3-4 games I've been to) they don't use either of those or if they do its to see pictures of their grandchildren. Obviously the measures they took weren't enough, is that ok with you? Also what email are you referring to? I got nothing from mean green club.
  9. We beat the two Florida schools.... Good job those wins really in the grand scheme of things change nothing for me. I meant to post this last night before the game was over and forgot. I find it funny that you think I'm ______ about the fans, when in reality I am ________ about the half assed marketing done by the AD. The entire department not just RV, but the people HE is responsible for. If anything there should have been a separate email (to mean green club members) about this event and try to get backing, pick up the phones (yeah I know our ticket office is "understaffed" poor them. Give me a break.
  10. You know what, I am officially over this AD. We put stuff like this out there then every single person sitting on the floor in those 40-50 chairs (my guess was 30 total people) was wearing a different color than black. Scratch that I think one was. When your play is very questionable you tend to get the lower rung of officials... Just the way the cookie crumbles.
  11. Before or after the Prez wanted him? Truth to that rumor?
  12. They're going to score 100 points on us. we may score 30
  13. well, at the end of the day Littrell still said that at the coaches clinic which seems to just be a line of his.
  14. Not true. I met Coach Littrell and talked to him, the dude is genuine as they come. No BS no coach speak, even Arlington Martin coach Wager echoed what I felt. He said this is the most relatable staff he has been around.
  15. After the coaches clinic last night Littrell is running this offense Graham is being groomed to run an offense.
  16. Only been to a few and never other colleges, I plan on going to SMU clinic to compare.
  17. Clinics yes, but nothing even close to this. These guys were on boards all across the club level broken down by position just talking x's and o's with coaches on what they do in situations it was really really cool. Littrell talked about Power read, inside zone, midline zones and how he knows what he wants to run in each and where he teaches to key. I would be willing to bet we see alot of trips and some TE trips (Littrell did mention TE trips quite a bit) it was a very cool experience. Coach Wager from Arlington Martin was in the group where Littrell was talking on the board and man did he have some HIGH praise for Littrell and his staff. Everyone of those guys is down to earth looking for football players they dont care how big or how small. They are very realistic on guys UNT can legitimately get, while knowing they want some guys who are tough shots. Defensively I can see us being in a TON of odd front looks, where we walk OLB down and it turns into a 4 man front. Reffett talked at length about being at Memphis and giving teams fits with undersized guys all over the field by having DL move and slant and keeping OL off balance. He talked about it not making sense to line up a 270 LB DT in a 3 technique and letting a 310 LB OL know right where he is and where he is going to be. I really really enjoyed it and gained some valuable coaching knowledge, as well as got to know the coaches. Sounds like we will have Air Raid stuff, or heavy run Littrell will truly tailor his offense to whatever we have.
  18. Marcus was presenting offense while Wylie staff presented Defense. Then UNT offense and defense presented and breakout sessions happened where position coaches got on a board and just talked ball. It was an incredible experience with 250+ HS coaches from as far as Midloathian in attendance.
  19. $ is all that is
  20. I want to brag on Nic Summerfield real quick. I messaged him on twitter last night at 9 pm to check on the coaches clinic they are putting on tonight. He messaged me back within 5 minutes and answered all questions and even commented on being an alum and glad I was coming back. Really good for the university and a nice experience. Marcus HS staff and UNT are putting on offensive and defensive clinics from 7-9
  21. Good info, I hadnt had time to look yet today. So it appears it is us, smu, and new mexico. I like our chances. This kid really can make every throw.
  22. I was doing some digging among coaches, his offer from Clemson was Morris led, once Morris left for SMU that offer could be off the table.
  23. Shelley may be a reach. Clemson offered as a sophomore. SMU came in and offered late last year. Believe. This kid has a laser cannon. His big knock is he uses the same move to escape pressure and according to one of my coaching buddies, didn't think he had the juice (what we refer to as the burst players have) to be big time d1. Clemson thought otherwise and good for the kid. I really hope he comes to North Texas. Coaching against him the last two years was a nightmare. He is patient and will beat you with his arm or legs depending on what you do.
  24. Yes sure he will I was trying to be modest I could see him being 32-36. How about Anthony Hines? That offer sheet is RIDICULOUS
