Marcus Moore; The Colony: 3 star DT on our Radar
GMG24 replied to UNTLifer's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Tried to get them in on him... just glad they realized how I was right about him 🙂 -
15 Turnovers… vomit
-
These refs are letting us get assaulted on way to the rim…. When we look at them whistles fly. I don’t understand the inconsistent whistles… im good if we never come back to this tournament after watching Scott lose a knee possibly and huntsberry slip running to a team huddle
-
Can’t have 14 offensive rebounds and 5 points off them and be very successful. Need to wake up quickly on offensive end
-
We’ve been cold from field, defense has been solid. Officiating well… called it one way half the time another the other half. Frustrating kids can’t figure out how to play. Looks like Scott slipped and may have blown a knee out
-
Which is a shame because I don’t think they are incapable… Abu should be abusing this team… and he’s settling for soft left handed jump hooks.. and layups instead of dunks, 24 travels on the easiest dunk in history of basketball on a good pass from Scott. Maddening at times
-
Absolutely, be a catch and shoot 3 guy on kick outs, and attack the rim on offensive rebounds after he collects them. His defense and defensive rebounding speak for themselves.
-
Have a sense of humor, both clearly joking and poking fun. Take some deep breaths and enjoy the game tonight.
-
I did, 24 was getting abused
-
Yup. Perry, Jones, Abu, 4 and 10 plus I believe a few bench guys can fill up the bucket. (Not sleeping on Scott, but anything he adds offensively is icing on the cake, talk about a lock down defender. I can’t remember the last time I saw an on ball defender block a jump shot)
-
This squad has a chance to be VERY special. Potential for 5 guys to be legit scoring threats with another 2 to develop and just take the shots provided. I am really excited about Moore’s potential to develop, he’s done some good stuff in limited minutes offensively.

As is everything else now, Coaches across the board are being paid more than ever before. I agree there is nothing wrong with having high standards and doing everything you can to reach those. The most damning thing against Seth I believe is the lack of success in all bowl games/conference championship games. We were a jump ball in the corner of the endzone away in San Antonio from hosting the Conference Championship this year. We have had 4, count them 4, 9 wins seasons since 2002. The guy currently the HC is responsible for 2 of those. I completely agree that we should have high standards, however don't forget the grass isn't always greener.

Seasons: 58 (1953 to 2022) Record (W-L-T): 278-356-11 Adjusted Record (W-L-T): 281-353-11 Conferences: CUSA, Sun Belt, Big West, MVC, Ind Conf. Championships: 9 Bowl Record: 11 Bowls, 2-9, .182 W-L% (Major Bowls) Ranked in AP Poll: 0 Times (Preseason), 0 Times (Final), 2 Weeks (Total) Naming something that has been done twice in the history of an institution is a strange bar to ask for.

Ehh.. I will disagree there, we have the incredible indoor which is amazing in and of itself. Outside of that our facilities are well below average, Athletic Dorms how outdated now, Weight Room is on par with most HS weight rooms in this state (Maybe behind), LR not comparable to most D1's in the state. While we are a long way from where we used to be, we are not where a lot of people think we are. Again I think Facilities get lost in the awe of the amazing Indoor.

I'm a few miles from the stadium and it has stopped raining. Hopefully stays that way and tons of people make it out to cheer this team on to a conference championship birth.
-
The right Texas ties... particularly with them being strong along the I20/30 corridor would be something that should not be brushed away so lightly. Those really do matter a lot more than people think.
-
Absolutely! He is a very capable back. May have to narrow the playbook/ play calling when he is in, but at this point you have to do whatever is necessary to win. We control our destiny to the conference championship game.
-
Heard he is still learning the ins and outs of the playbook... Not sure on the validity of that, but it would make sense as most freshman struggle their first year.

Defense. -
I think you'll be ok. I'd avoid the giant overpass from 121 to 35 other than that safe travels.

We go in there regularly, especially after the destruction of Rockin Rodeo. Wife and I went on our first date when it used to be Pourhouse, so it holds some sentimental value as well.
-
Lesson learned, we eat and drink before hand. Grab popcorn and maybe a water bottle there. 🙂
-
You’ll make it with time to spare. I’d eat before hand. My experiences haven’t been too hot with the booths that have been open for games. Luke warm hot dogs cold hamburger and sub par pretzel. They’ve only had 2/3 concession booths opened most of the year so I’m assuming predicted numbers drives that for AD
