  1. He was a Defensive Coordinator at Washington & Jefferson. No clue how his defenses did, but he's been on some pretty solid staff's so I'll take it.
  2. I am not sure where we finished ranking wise, but here are comparison numbers (I know Big 12 vs CUSA) Iowa State 178 Passing ypg, 20 Passing TD, 107 Rushing ypg, 8 Rush TD UNT 262.5 Passing ypg, 24 Passing TD, 197 Rushing ypg, 26 TD
  3. Me too, but I don't believe Morris uses TE's the way Roberts needs to be used as a TE. I think he flexes them gets them in space with bad matchups on smaller DB's or slower LB's and exposes those mis matches.
  4. I believe they crossed paths under Holgerson if I am not mistaken sometime during his WVU stint.
  5. It’s better for those guys. They still make a ton of money (to me) lol and they by ncaa rule can’t go on the road and recruit so they basically do as you say except they stay at university and work on football.
  6. introduce them to a Jalapeno pepper, and a ghost pepper. I bet they change their tune
  7. Think they'll be ok with leaving it, hearing most have transitioned or in process of transitioning to guys like Gary Patterson. Takes an Analyst job makes however much they'll pay and is the primary coach. Meanwhile the recruiting studs (young guys with energy) are named assistants and they do all the grind work of traveling and recruiting. Then when those guys get on campus your seasoned veterans are now allowed to talk to them and recruit them. Now you just went to an unlimited number of possibilities. Kind of brilliant if you ask me.
  8. Hey @Andrew So he enters the portal yesterday... and before today is over (probably getting more offers as I type this) He has posted offers in order, Cal, Baylor, SMU, Nebraska, Arkansas, Indiana, Oregon State, Rutgers, Nevada, La Tech, TX State (1 hour ago) new staff trying to swing and connect. So much for your Tarleton St., evaluation... also I hope he comes back but I don't think he's the type of TE/H we'll see Morris use.
  9. He ran a 10.54 FAT.... AS A JUNIOR!!! Love this pick up! He burns the Aledo DB (Committed to UT as a JR., and widely viewed as the top Corner prospect in his class in TX) on a goal line fade. I LOVE this pick up!! He was under recruited probably due to size. He isn't the biggest WR and doesn't have crazy wiggle. He makes up for both of those with blazing speed and I am excited to see him shine here.
  10. You sir are clueless. He’s had big 12 and SEC programs reach out. That is a bonafide badass TE.
  11. Once they enter they have forfeited their scholarship. If the coach wants them back they are able to keep scholarship no harm no foul. If coach is pissed he can be told to kick rocks which more often than not is what happens.
  12. Weren’t a majority on here just griping about PB and Gush??? Lol make y'all's minds up!
  13. Someone wake Abou up please man he’s sleep walking through this one… missing dunks, dropping passes. Aaron Scott is fun to watch on the glass, dude is always near the ball.
  14. Fair enough, I believe they lost last week to Hutch who is now playing in the NJCAA championship game.
  15. Don't forget to add Marcus Moore JUCO DT
  16. To my knowledge they received a phone call stating the current AD wanted to honor their scholarship and looked forward to their time at UNT, but that it would ultimately be up to the new HC.
  17. He already has that title at a big 12 school… why would he take it? His career has trended up at every step. Last I checked Traylor was similar and look what he’s doing.
  18. Bush league on their part… get your stuff working. Maybe check the stream before ya know GAMETIME
  19. Fairly true. Funds aren't an excuse fill up the tank with gas and drive 50 minutes out then make your way back stopping at 12-15 HS on the way.
  20. There is no doubt it is risky, but the only thing I think that could be an issue is managing the scholarship count, which he has had 6 years or so to learn how that works at his previous stops. In particular the newest one at Tech being the best learning curve for him as the staff was new and had to hit the recruiting trail and road running. However, just like every scholarship offer is risky the reward to me outweighs the risk. If he is a homerun hire you repeat this cycle in 3 or 4 years.
  21. He was the former HC at SOC before taking the WR job at KU. He's got head coaching experience just not at the collegiate level for whatever that matters to anyone. Me personally this is the hire I would make. He can lead a program, provide the ability to build a young and hungry staff, as well as recruit I20-I30 like UNT has never seen.
  22. You are one interesting person....
  23. Southern, Grambling State, La Tech, Western Kentucky, Old Dominion, New Mexico State, San Jose State, Hawaii, Sam Houston State, Abilene Christian, Tarleton State, SFA, UTEP, UNT North Carolina Central, Jacksonville State, Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Bethune Cookman, UT Martin, Incarnate Word, Western Carolina, Tennessee Tech, Murray State, Northern Iowa
  24. He will be here after the winter break. Enrolling in January.
