Yeah it was a TON. Too many IMO, but it was the last of the summer those are always packed. They had MOST position groups split into 4 groups so the reps were higher, and there was a ton of teaching going on. Just from my observation, and I'm biased I spent more time at QB/WR Harrell, Reffett, and Brown taught the most technique of any coach there. Now I didn't spend a ton of time around the other position groups but each one constantly had kids pulled aside and teaching 1 on 1 it was excellent. Made me happy to see.

A lot

I did think of that, but they allowed us into athletic facilities for restrooms, still could have toured weight room dorm cafeteria etc. Just thinking out loud especially since it ended early.

Yes I'll change it to HS once he gets there ;-)

A few thoughts, as I brought 7 kids from the HS I coach at. 1. The initial set up was WAY better than years past. Kids walked up registered got height and weight done, then were sent up stairs to club level. (Previous years they sat in bleachers waiting on Mac) Once in the club level they had all the Mic'd up sessions and highlight reels going, even a quick virtual tour of campus. 2. Had a HUGE set up of all the football gear for kids to see, and a section where they could try jerseys on. 3. President Smastrek, AD Baker, and Littrell all talked to the kids, which started about 20 minutes late, and took 30 minutes. They introduced every position coach. The. Took kids to grass practice fields by position groups. 4. Stretched and warmed kids up, they do a cool intro Womack yells One Heart Beat and the kids do a clap simultaneously. 5. They ran a few 60-70% 40s then did one timed 40. They then did county fair where they did an assortment of agility drills where coaches could see kids movements and flexibility. 6. They then broke out into position groups and go to work. 7. One on Ones came and it was a blast. 8. Probably my only and biggest complaint they ended it 50 minutes early, no 7 on 7 and no option to tour the athletic facility. (Pretty standard at camps now) All in all it was a really good camp TONS of energy and passion from coaches which obviously overflowed to the kids. Hopefully they refine this process over time and maybe have only JR/SR type camp or invite camp. The freshman and sophomores were sent to one practice field while older kids stayed on another.

While I'm happy for the kid I really think this is a bit ridiculous. The parents are mostly to blame, but why on earth are we offering a 7th grader? Recruiting is getting out of hand now IMO.

You could probably go to Littrell's twitter and look at his followers (most recent usually a good indication) or the people he is following and sometimes that is a good indicator. I am really hoping the '17 WR out of Rockwall Sam Crawford comes and we can get him on board. Kid has some SPEED. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a bunch of Oklahoma kids make their way down also. Maybe even get Jaylon Mascorro up here from Refugio and convince him to be a RB lol (That was a joke guys he's a 4 star dual threat QB)

He added Dartmouth and North Texas offers yesterday. 6'9" Forward moves pretty good another one of those stretch 4 type big guys TB loves.

My thoughts, get the new AD here NOW and get him working. Lets see if he is worth his weight in salt real quick!

GMG24 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Two excellent articles to get a bit of background knowledge on the guy. http://www.rockmnation.com/state-of-the-nation/2016/7/18/12208760/missouri-athletic-director-wren-baker-interview http://www.columbiatribune.com/sports/mu/q-a-with-wren-baker/article_f65a3c02-f1d3-5f04-a5e0-c67c7facddc1.html I believe the questions are similar or could be the same I just skimmed the articles. He seems to be a very progressive guy.- 27 replies

http://www.hudl.com/video/3/2654468/5732083cb19be016ace6f129 Working to find more information on him. Shoutout to UNTSportsguy and NewDenton for finding this first. Holds offers from UNT, Houston, Memphis, Arkansas St, Toledo (previously committed there), Idaho, South Alabama, and Colorado State. http://247sports.com/Recruitment/Arlington-Hambright-93137/RecruitInterests On track to graduate in December so he would have three years to play two. He is from Belleville HS in Michigan and it appears he was a non-qualifier out of HS. From what I have gathered from some quick perusing of recruiting sites he has some interests from big time schools. I have a feeling if we get closer to December and he is still on track to graduate early this kid may blow up.
