Wilson, Goree, and Nic Smith (Martin product whenever they burn his Redshirt) all very capable explosive playmakers. Rutherford will get there as the year progresses. He's a RS freshman.

Man I won't lie, Bethune looks similar to us size wise and their skill guys look bigger. Gulp.

If you think his arm strength is the issue you are sadly mistaken. Throwing form was definitely an issue throwing off back foot, off balance etc yes but general arm strength is not a problem for him. How does a WR move to the ball when they are behind the secondary and running down field full speed? If the ball is underthrown just a tick that WR won't be able to make a play on the ball. Just not possible. As for the other INT I would say they are a combination of QB throwing mechanics that took velocity off ball and OL not giving him ample time.

My biggest positive was the defensive turnaround from the 1st quarter disaster to the next 3 quarters. Gave up a combined 10 points rest of the game. While I realize SMU pulled starters etc we still more or less shut down their 1st offense the following two quarters. I like where we are headed and definitely know we need more time. Look for an addition to the defense in the next few days or week.

The fact that Tauaalo is on KOR is a bad sign, nothing against the kid but an interior DL on KOR isn't springing hope eternal, or the fact that Goree has to be on Punt, run down and cover then try to tackle, we have no one else? Ouch.

Morris was getting lit up like a Christmas tree every other snap, we couldn't run the ball so their DL got to tee off (plus added blitzes)

Surely nine of our defensive miscues had to do with them having a pretty dang good experience QB running around back there.

I am more than worried about our current situation. We need to win and win right now. Uncut grass throughout my walk up and through campus was a bit disappointing. Small but maybe I'm just that weird.

We had 25,000 people there, and 20 minutes before the game started I'd say 2-3,000 were in stands. I'd agree they can be improved but to rush that many people throug the ticket lines is a bit of a tall order.

@UNT90 I forgot to check all day yesterday, got busy but when I got home used the mobile website and the link worked like a charm. I know they let coaches park free in Fouts with a Coaches card, at least they have allowed me to do it every time.

I could see him playing a slot type, where they give him the ball on some Jet Sweep type stuff, and if he can catch man, I'd love to see a safety or corner try to bring him down. He's a big strong runner.

Should we just do one thread that keeps up weekly updates on commit's and their play? For example Week 1 8/26 Commit Stats or whatever then in that thread update their stats or how they did? That way it doesn't bog down the recruiting thread?

Looks more like a RB to me than anything else.
