Most of the plays they're calling have checks. It looked like he got all over Fine for running the Stretch play there with 30 seconds left. They better have a check to the trips formation they've only run stretch out of because they have us whipped in that formation especially. Our offense has a LONG way to go. Defense got shot in the foot by a few stupid penalties, however I thought they played really good overall aside from the last drive. They're flying around and making tackles in the open field. MUTS offense averages 500 yards of offense.

If it is very blurry you can change your settings on the screen to a different resolution it helps a ton.

You mean letting the team leaders vote on what they wear? Novel concept.

Those numbers against that Everman defense is really impressive. Everman has a solid team and that offense is a booger. We played them this year. -
I agree.

I can't wait to see the look on Littrell's face when he's told that kid went to HS 10 miles from UNT campus and we never looked at the kid. His head may explode... pretty ridiculous.

I know just stating the possibility.

Remember, technically a 5-7 team can be bowl elligible.

What Results Are You Expecting the Next Two Weeks?
GMG24 replied to Cerebus's topic in Mean Green Football
I say 0-2 because our offense has been so slow to get going. If the offense can improve and be firing on all cylinders out of the gate then I expect 1-1 if not 0-2 it is. -
Proof, or it didn't happen.

He won't take a step down... No way he's in Jonesboro unless the AState AD gets his school to do a 1-1 series.
-
Only problem with sprint outs it limits you to half the field, while I agree some designed stuff with 3 options is good just have to be careful doing it to much. Also not sure how much sprint out is used in air raid.

lol no, they'll go somewhere else win and make that University 10-15 times the amount they make. It is all about $$ unfortunately. The more you win the more money your program generates, the better you can help your other programs that are funded by football, so on and so forth.

I am curious what throwing lanes you think he can't see? I haven't seen him miss a lane or not be able to throw a certain ball because of his height yet.
-
He'll be just fine guys.... You are correct sir he has 3 years (including this one) to play.
-
Why? He's had one batted ball that I can recall.

No doubt, I think its less about dropping weight and more about getting more lean muscle. I honestly expect our OL to include Murray, Miles, Woodworth, and 2 freshman signees next season to compete, obviously Barr playing center or Donovan (Freshman from College Station playing center and Barr playing guard). He was in a Pro-style offense at Coppell where he could fire off lean and run smaller guys, he experienced similar offense here. Now he is out in space and has to move backwards and laterally against guys who are much quicker than he is. Needs to get hands on earlier and keep his shoulder square to LOS, once he turns those shoulders he's done and he may as well start hollering LOOK OUT!! If you get to rewatch this game, or beyond the green you'll hear Perry talking to the RB's about protection and checking. They missed a few protections early on where they should have helped Murray because they had no threat. However, since they didn't check backside it resulted in a Sack. Fastforward to Ivery's TD catch vs Rice, you'll see Wilson step up into A Gap, see no threat then check backside where both his guard and his Tackle are beat. He knows where Fine is going to step up so he leaves Guard by himself and goes to chip the End who has the edge on Woodworth. Excellent piece of coaching, being coachable, and pick up by Wilson. Man I love me some good football. GMG

One of them was simply taking the wrong steps. Easy to correct, the other he got whooped because he's a RS Freshman.

I think you will still see Murray, just not as much. They also shuffled the interior line around a few times. I could only listen and not watch as I was at a wedding and had no wifi so streaming wasn't an option. I am still baffled about Chris Myles, I think we see him at some point this season as well. Wylie Reinhardt got some snaps at guard as well when Keenan went down. Murray has to get quicker feet and better technique, he will be a player for us just needs more time to get adjusted. There is a reason he didn't have 15-20 offers. You, unfortunately, are seeing in game action what the big schools were scared about. I believe he'll get it fixed and our OL will be solid for years to come. Playing some really young guys in there.
