2 interesting things from the radio broadcast
GMG24 replied to Cr1028's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah, airing dirty laundry that'll get your players to buy into what a head coach is preaching about family and fighting for each other. Having his back and he'll have yours. If I had to bet he'll go to an FCS and play immediately. -
Seth Littrell may be candidate for open Houston job
GMG24 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
They have an NFL RB who could go in the first 3 rounds. Usually guys like that look really good against sub par competition. The coaches can't go out there and make plays. I don't get why this concept is so hard. Defense looked like crap because they couldn't get off the field long enough to get coached and make adjustments because the offense was going 3 and out because our qb couldn't throw it in the ocean if he was standing on the beach. Was it all the players fault? No, coaches should have had a better game plan. There really is only so much you can do with what they have. With 68 (I think) scholarship players, you are looking at probably 35 ish for D and the same for O. Take your 11 for starters and 11 more for 2nd team and your down to 13 D1 players per side of the ball to run scout team. After that you have WALK ONS!!! That isn't going to give you a very good look in practice. Much less when you're having to play said walk-ons in Division 1 football games because you're out of options with scholarship guys. I really wish I had the time to put together our entire roster and list each offer they had. It would be so fun to come to your job and rip you like I knew what the hell I was talking about. :)- 81 replies

We were down to 1 RB, 4 WR, And very sub par OL play. It sucks to lose this bad and it looked awful. Things will progress as long as they'll recruit.- 81 replies

I am in charge of film at our HS and I have sophomores in HS who do a better job times 1,000 this is embarrassing.
-
Looks to be 400 people there. We're in ICY Whites with Chrome Helmet Why is this feed zoomed in so much? CUSA should have a standard for their streaming or quit charging

Totally disagree here. Looking the other way is wrong and if he did that I feel really dumb for semi-defending him.

Those in attendance please submit some pictures!

It's OFFICIAL -- We ARE Going Bowling...Just not sure where...
GMG24 replied to EagleGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Again, any thing to get extra practice reps, extra exposure to solid coaching for our young kids, and in the END a great experience for our Seniors who stuck it out and bought in. I'll take any bowl opponent we can beat. The win is whats important not the who.- 19 replies

I would want to no doubt, I am not a head coach and don't know what those job descriptions require. If they were to report any accusation to law enforcement then he failed to do so, then he got what he deserved. If they were to refer the complaint ant to title IX office and he did, then he did his job. Did it make him feel any better? Probably not, but that was all I was trying to say. Not agreeing with how it was handled or not handled just trying to bring that side to the table.
-
I don't, however if I did I would want the full extent of the law thrown on someone If that happened. I would also teach my daughter that if anything like this ever happened or she in any way felt violated to call the police first and me second.
-
http://sc.edu/eop/titleixduties.shtml I could be wrong and I am, I apologize. But it is the HC duty to refer all complaints to this position so the proper channels are followed. To my knowledge he didn't just that.

I only buy the day pass. 7 bucks for the game essentially unless there is other good games on that day. Cheaper than buying a ticket.

2 hours 32 minutes 22 seconds NOOOOOOOOORTH
-
I'd take it because it gives us an extra week to practice!!

I'll probably get hammered for this, but a buddy of mine is friends with Several Staff members at Baylor. Says every complaint that came into Briles was sent immediately to the sexual assault Title IX lady on campus who was more or less shut down by the higher ups in Admin and BOR. They wanted to win so bad they were willing to overlook this stuff. What else is Briles suppose to do other than send the young women who made these reports to the correct spot on campus they are suppose to be sent? Calling the police is not his duty as he is not the one making the complaint/report. I get that this world needs someone to blame for these heinous acts, however it is a shame someone like Briles is taking all the heat for this.

Real short list for me. Scott Cross

It is considered a pass because it is forward, thus why the other team can't jump on it if he drops it. If he hands it off, and the exchange is messed up it's a fumble.

Never believe all you hear, boosters particularly at big schools will go to crazy lengths to make sure they get the guy they want. UT boosters lied about LSU officials meeting with Herman to speed up university officials. Herman to UT Orgeron stays at LSU My Prediction: Morris chooses between Baylor and Houston eventually goes with Baylor knowing year 1 will suck and year two will be better. They'll have 51 scholarship guys once seniors leave and I'd bet lose 5-8 to transfer or fallout with new regime. While Morris is an Aggie Alum I don't think they'd hire him yet. A&M opens up and you could see Peterson and Fedora battle it out. Lincoln Riley takes SMU job and reaps rewards of Morris' solid recruiting of the state. Look ok there are a TON of good coaches out there, most of the time it's a matter of can they recruit and can they handle all the distractions boosters, alum, administration etc.

Which rules are unlikely to change in the foreseeable future?
GMG24 replied to JesseMartin's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't think so, I see no problem with making it available. There are systems available for 8-12 K that's part of a fundraiser and could help teams win. It only enhances a coaches ability to make adjustments. Why do you not like replay ability just curious? Also so are you saying the NCAA doesn't play by their rules or that Texas officials are better at their job than NCAA? -

Instant replay on the sidelines... Texas and Maine last two states that don't have it bc it isn't NCAA approved -
