I don't fully agree, but I do partially agree. I think players do deserve criticism if they perform poorly. What I think is criticism and others think is up for debate. A ripping on a message board should be fine and where it ends. He played like poop along with every other unit. He missed a lot of throws and reads. It is what it is, he and our entire offense didn't click all day. Defense sucked early and never got time to get it fixed with the constant 3 -and outs. Once they kind of got going it was to late and UTEP was on top of the world. It is what it I see we got smoked. I am eternally greatful to Alec for being a man and working through a disappointing time. If we didn't have him the last 3 weeks we'd be really screwed.

3-4 turns into a 4 man front which we did when we walked Wheeler up as a stand up end. We had 4 down lineman we just got in the wrong gaps/got blocked into gaps and it opened up creases that an NFL caliber RB is able to see hit and not stop until he's got 6.

no way this happens.

Wait until next year, I bet our uniforms and helmets are totally different. -
You seem to have all the answers, yet no solutions. I am telling you there are kids ready and willing to play here that don't have a ton of offers mostly due to size. If you want to win get the best players you can regardless of size and you win. Then, you begin recruiting the bigger faster stronger kids as your program advances. It is not rocket science, unless you are just a homerun hitter on the recruiting trail this is what you have to do to slowly build a program. Don't believe me go check out Boise State and their rise to the top. Recruited under the radar type guys who COULD PLAY, won, then started pursuing better recruits. Don't believe me? Check out Tyreke Davis kid is an absolute stud talent, unfortunately for him and VERY FORTUNATE for us he's 5'9 MAYBE 5'10.... These are the kind of kids you go get (obviously you can't build an entire class out of undersized kids) but you really have to go get kids like this at the start of a rebuild. Kids that can play at the Division 1 level just don't quite have the size to be big time D1 prospects. There is NOTHING wrong with that.

Bump. Like to see us get this kid. -
We would be short by 17 total scholarships.

It has nothing to do with little ole NT and has everything to do with kids who can play who get overlooked bc they're undersized etc etc,. Walter Dawn out at UTEP. Coached against him, I'm sure he'll be making plays for UTEP for the next few years. Solid HS football player who was just too small according to many recruiters. look no further than 25 miles south in FT. Worth they didn't start by recruiting biggest baddest dudes around. They got dudes who were undersized that could play and WON, won consistently then bigger faster dudes wanted to go there bc they were winning.

I didn't give you the -1 just fyi, I save those for your crazy posts. So They lost to UT a team full of far better athletes, they got crushed by Army who's team is designed to beat Power teams, Lost to Southern Miss with their stud QB (who would have beaten us had they had their QB), La Tech who took us to the wood shed, FIU probably should have been a W, UTSA they beat, Old Dominion they almost caught a top CUSA team, Houston Baptist clear win, Lost a tough one to FAU on the road, Got caught by Rice on Senior Day, and opened a can on us. Probably one of the better 3-8 teams around.. That is a pretty solid team regardless of what you feel. I get it, I hate losing as much as the next guy but man sometimes you gotta step back and look at everything before calling for everyone to be removed and everything burned to the ground and start over. Sat, Sep 3 vs New Mexico State W 22 - 38 Final Sat, Sep 10 @ Texas L 7 - 41 Final Sat, Sep 17 vs Army L 66 - 14 Final Sat, Sep 24 vs Southern Miss L 34 - 7 Final Sat, Oct 1 @ Louisiana Tech L 7 - 28 Final Sat, Oct 8 vs FIU L 35 - 21 Final Sat, Oct 22 @ Texas-San Antonio W 52 - 49 Final Sat, Oct 29 vs Old Dominion L 31 - 21 Final Sat, Nov 5 vs Houston Baptist W 10 - 42 Final Sat, Nov 12 @ Florida Atlantic L 31 - 35 Final Sat, Nov 19 @ Rice L 24 - 44 Final Sat, Nov 26 vs North Texas W 24 - 52 Final- 81 replies

And it is none of those devoted or donating alum's business as to why these two young men were removed. They violated a team rule that was serious enough to be removed from the program. Seems pretty simple, they f'd up big time and coach didn't take kindly to it. Good enough for me.- 47 replies

Yeah, its hard to recruit to when you don't get in local HS and recruit local kids who make plays. I've spoken with multiple coaches from multiple DFW schools who have kids ready to go here just waiting for an offer.
-
Don't let people fool you, I doubt CUSA would be able to foot the full bill to fly our entire team etc out there all expenses paid. The AD will undoubtedly have to pay for alot of stuff. I still say you don't turn it down.

Yeah, airing dirty laundry that'll get your players to buy into what a head coach is preaching about family and fighting for each other. Having his back and he'll have yours. If I had to bet he'll go to an FCS and play immediately. -

They have an NFL RB who could go in the first 3 rounds. Usually guys like that look really good against sub par competition. The coaches can't go out there and make plays. I don't get why this concept is so hard. Defense looked like crap because they couldn't get off the field long enough to get coached and make adjustments because the offense was going 3 and out because our qb couldn't throw it in the ocean if he was standing on the beach. Was it all the players fault? No, coaches should have had a better game plan. There really is only so much you can do with what they have. With 68 (I think) scholarship players, you are looking at probably 35 ish for D and the same for O. Take your 11 for starters and 11 more for 2nd team and your down to 13 D1 players per side of the ball to run scout team. After that you have WALK ONS!!! That isn't going to give you a very good look in practice. Much less when you're having to play said walk-ons in Division 1 football games because you're out of options with scholarship guys. I really wish I had the time to put together our entire roster and list each offer they had. It would be so fun to come to your job and rip you like I knew what the hell I was talking about. :)- 81 replies

We were down to 1 RB, 4 WR, And very sub par OL play. It sucks to lose this bad and it looked awful. Things will progress as long as they'll recruit.- 81 replies

Looks to be 400 people there. We're in ICY Whites with Chrome Helmet Why is this feed zoomed in so much? CUSA should have a standard for their streaming or quit charging

Totally disagree here. Looking the other way is wrong and if he did that I feel really dumb for semi-defending him.
