  1. for corner seats yes, sideline 20-20 I believe is 75
  2. I want to see more Split back Gun from us. It is Deadly. We can run stretch either way and it still allows for 3 WR stuff. Easy capability to swing both backs out and get a possible mis match. This is all dependent on Wilson being healthy obviously. Even Tucker who should be good to go makes that an option. What I don't want to see is a bunch of stuff where we try and run up the middle, that isn't this teams strength and I can only recall 2 TD's all year that hit between the Tackles. Most of our good run game is on the edge. What do yall think?
  3. I remember several of them from home games, Where we were headed towards the Wing, the ball was on the left hash, we got in 3x1 with single receiver on our sideline (short side of field) lined up at the bottom of the numbers (closest to our sideline) and ran a fade. You are now asking your QB to make a damn near impossible throw especially when your WR can't get separation. I am no apologist as I agree Fine has plenty of room for big jumps in his game. However sometimes coaches have to put kids in good spots. I believe after most games you hear Littrell saying something similar in games they lost. If they are going to run the above mentioned play the WR must lineup at MINIMUM on the top of the numbers (closest to the other teams sideline) or a step closer to the hash from there.
  4. How many of those is he running for his life on? Question no answer. I am SURE his mechanics went to hell in a hand basket after leading the nation in sacks, and I would guess pressures as well. He was running for his life play in and play out. He's better than Mullens Freshman stats. Here are the awards he won as a Freshman. Conference USA All-Freshman (2013)Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week (Dec. 2, 2013) Mason Fine Freshman awards Named to the C-USA All-Freshman team I would have to assume that had he not thrown two picks vs UTSA he would have a chance at offense player of the week with his stat line.
  5. He has a thread already. This one stinks, kid was a big powerful kid. Got to wonder whats going on down there at Tx State. No fan support towards end of the year. I am wondering if Tx State isnt bending plenty of rules to get this class. This Party in the Park tank top they all have on... surely these kids didn't all buy the same tank top. BTW this kid Brannon is a beast I was disappointed we didn't get him. They have another LB at Prosper who is just as solid as Brannon.
  6. +2 here Just gotta wait till PayDay lol
  7. Didn't mean it as a dig. I meant it seriously. As much as you critique it would be interesting to see how successful you'd be. It is always easier on the outside. That isn't defending a coach, thats as a fan. This team was worse than most FCS schools this year and yet somehow this staff found a way to get them to 5-7. I still can't believe they got there. Fine needs to improve on things absolutely. But, getting more than the snap of the ball to make a read would be very helpful in seeing what he could truly do. IMO
  8. 8-3 losses to Minnesota, Florida Gulf coast, and Arkansas. All running back to back to back. Needed a better showing vs Minnesota but not bad so far in this season.
  9. He can't coach though.... give me a break!
  10. Will require a coach who knows what they're doing, and you of all people know I don't criticize coaches.
  11. Ehh not true. Option football is primarily man schemes, with some gap assignments depending on run pressures,. what UTEP did was zone stuff and gap assignments. But I am sure you knew that. ??
  12. I wish you could get a college coaching job...
  13. Any chance with a change of leadership you'll rejoin?
  14. Remember the days when we used to have 3-4 thousand on average for any game?? Ouch.
  15. 2 of those throws were special, the Thad Dig route he hit, and Goree on the very deep out I referred to. Fine did hold onto it a bit too long, probably half Goree and half him not trusting receiver coming out of break.
  16. Morris definitely has the more "Live" arm of the two, however I don't believe that given time to set his feet and not run for his life Fine can make sure about every throw. Deep outs and comebacks are my two routes I worry about most with Fine. Those are Sunday throws and I don't think he's got that arm. Morris does but has awful decision making and gets happy feet before throwing IMO. I don't want this to be a bash our QB's these are my opinions only. I think BOTH of these young men know there's things in their games they must improve by bowl time for (whoever) starts to give us a chance to win. I would love the Defense to score and get 7 total turnovers again but I just don't see it happening. And this army defense is the truth. Particularly in the run game!
  17. He played SMU (not bowling), USM, and an atrocious UTEP team who he didn't do a thing to until their backups backup was playing. Look neither was stellar, both have holes in their game. However Mason has proven time and again he makes more plays consistently. Defenses faced by each QB in order of overall a Ranking 5 Army - Mason 6 Florida - Mason 18 Southern Miss - Alec 37 WKU - Mason injury leading to Alec 58 UTSA - Mason 70 La Tech - Mason 72 UTEP - Alec 92 MTSU - Mason 102 SMU - Alec 105 Marshall - Mason 123 Rice - Mason Positive note our our defense finished 79th and these rankings include every statistical category possible. http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/22/p2
  18. Alec Morris was a grad transfer who started much earlier than Fine. He was here for all of spring ball and had all of summer to work out and throw with WR. He had ample opportunity to win the job and he lost it.
  19. Rutherford will sink or swim. Those two have played together since peewee ball. I think Rutherford has all the tools In the world to succeed time to find out if he's going to put it all together.
  20. Who have those teams swooped in and stole? Not being a smart Alec either. I know a few kids committed there but we could have offered at one position (QB Jaylin Nelson comes to mind) and they offer at another and that's the position he wants to play.
  21. Would you say the same thing if the kid from Ardmore we offered who had 0 offers committed to us, knowing now that OSU,OU, and whoever else came in and offered shortly after us? We have multiple coaches on staff who have had to and still do find talent. They know what legit D1 players play and look like. I am willing to be patient as much as that sucks.
  22. Thanks Lifer. I couldn't find his hudl last night for some reason.
  23. Names "linked" and actually interested probably differed greatly.
  24. Is he better than UTEP or WKU back? Those two stuck out in my mind as top backs.
