Yessir. Not to take away from the HS Signees because they're going to be those dudes. This cat is SPECIAL, hard to play RB at LSU...I have no problems with this pick up at all.

Patience. Trust them, they got some left I wouldn't be surprised if you see 2 and maybe a couple DL (I'm not sure how many we have left haven't done the math yet and don't know who is on scholly currently on roster)

They typically are pretty lazy and just give a kid a high 2 star or low 3 star and move on. They did re up a few of our signees to mid/upper mid 3 stars but haven't got around to the newer commits yet.

They haven't ranked any of them as portal players yet, just like they haven't ranked 5/6 of our HS Signees... They're lazy as hell they rank the top 30/35 programs for everything then get around to all the other stuff when they can.... Brutal

Pre-Portal I would completely and totally agree with you. However, now that the portal is here there are ALOT more players available that wouldn't be if the portal wasn't here. In turn that allows for better players to fall to lower level teams, what I would look to for each of the individual cases where you may be concerned about a "Flip" is how many other schools offered the kid. The more schools that think the kid is worth a scholarship, the more likely they are to be a player at that level. Like you said there are outliers but those are more miss than hit. Example: I have a 6'4" 275 17 year old Guard/Center who played LT for us. He has multiple Juco offers and a few D2, one FCS has come through but hasn't offered yet. HC from Angelo State told him in my office, pre-portal you are a Power 5 kid you have great length and frame, it is a shame what the portal has done to recruiting, BUT I am now able to talk to young men like you and have a chance to recruit you.

They have like 6 HS guys to rate that is screwing our standing. Haven't rated any of our transfers...

Correct it can all change in the spring, by my calculations (I could be wrong) we have 3 scholarships left again I could be off. You can sign however many scholarships you have available. The catch, you have to balance your roster so you aren't stuck with 80 Freshman and RS Freshman and 5 Seniors. You must constantly manage and manipulate your roster to stay as balanced as you can.

I probably should have just screen shot his twitter timeline to better explain my mush brain. Commits to us with the puzzle pieces, days later takes down his picture he tweeted about being committed, puzzle pieces stay, then he starts retweeting old stats about himself and accolades, then doesn't post anything about UTEP except his pictures and I guess he's going there now, typically when its that close together the kid will decommit as you saw our guys do today, and then sign or post they're going somewhere else.

To my knowledge we didn't lose him, rather they gained him it may have been a mutual split once his coach got that job? What I mean is he never posted a decommit post, I think we told him we were looking elsewhere around that time UTEP offered bc of his old HC and that was that. I could be wrong though.

The only assumption I will make is that Morris will bring someone in True Freshman transfer RS Freshman Senior, Sophomore whoever and will keep the offense moving along

He's a center so will probably start in the 2 deep as I am not sure what is left at that position.

Didn't say it couldn't happen but for every 1 Freshman QB who has solid numbers theres 100 who struggle mightily. When you bring in some of the top talent every now and then they're ready to come in and play immediately. You would like to not put them in that situation and let them develop a greater understanding of the game, while learning the system and grow.

Another one DT Sheffield!!! After doing some digging now that everything slowed down. This young man came from JUCO, had about 10 offers out of JUCO, Washington State, Kansas (late) and New Mexico State being the biggest. He can flat out FLY. Holy cow he's going to be fun to watch in this offense. He also returns punts as well. So he added much needed depth there. Great late addition to the class.

This may be one of the best pick ups in the class. Fought Memphis off tough late in the process.
