That is because Louisiana sank itself, and while the football coaches make some hefty $ I can guarantee you there are larger issues than coaches salary. I believe there is a program where if a kid in Louisiana graduates HS they can get scholarship $ to pay for in state schools. 8-10 thousand kid at 10-12 thousand a year is ALOT of $. I have no idea if my numbers are close or not but seems there are other things Louisiana should be worried about.

Conley? 80 % or so of his ties have retired. I think we need to get younger at that position in a hurry.

I am not saying you have to go spend 10s of millions of dollars, but adding simple stuff like lighting and things of that sort you could easily bolster our facilities, even though there are many other areas that need fixing first. Wins and donors is a solid start from all programs.

If the idea is to be similar to basketball then they need to have signing day at the start of season. I like the idea for the highly ranked and recruited guys. Problem is I think this increases the transfer epidemic.
