  1. Last conversation I had with the Division 1 coaches who came through, they believe walk-ons may still exist and simply be funded through NIL. That was before this article was released so that could change, but as of a few weeks ago, that was the plan that seemed to be floating around.
  2. sounds like he will be playing both WR and CB for us. Think the other schools had him pegged on one side of the ball or the other.
  3. He put it in his twitter bio but no reference to the ranking. Could be one of the in state local places that rated him as such. I don't care what star he is I really like his tape. He can MOVE
  4. Alot of HS kids rely heavily on being a lot better athlete than the kids they're tackling. I don't have too much concern about that as thats the guys who make 2-300 thousand a year to coach's job to fix and clean up IMO
  5. you watched his tape yet? Thats a big boy that moves well. Plays RB for them and takes one 70 on his first play to the house. He can RUN. You don't have to have Giant LB's in the 3 down stuff... Football players are just that. Size aint everything. You can find a lot more Zach Orr's than you can over sized LB's who got recruited because they are 6'3 225...especially at our level. The bigger they get the higher level they go. Unless NIL is involved which we have virtually none.
  6. The schools that do it right send the kids a graphic or two to post in their announcement... im just sayin
  7. You wouldn't take a new job if they offered you 400,000 more than your current salary?
  8. He is getting 400,000 of those dollars you claim he isn't.
  9. Hmmm That is interesting. I wasn't aware he entered. Must have seen the writing on the wall that he wouldn't be able to play here... Very weird.
  10. I am confused. I did not make any spring practices and was too busy trying to look up new players during the scrimmage to really be able to watch OL play specifically.
  11. It is the next best Bball league so the big boys come poach it, and we go to other conferences and do the same. It is a vicious cycle.
  12. Agree! It also allows for a much more high percentage throw instead of the vertical ball that is so prevalent in offenses like these.
  13. Does not necessarily mean we pulled it, he may have asked. We don't have to release him from his NLI National Letter of Intent, but can choose to do so.
  14. He turned 15 in November, wears a size 15 shoe for now, has an 81" Wing Span and wears a 2XL Glove. He is playing football for the first time in his life this year. Will be fun to follow him recruitment as he will likely have 40+ offers before it is all said and done.
  15. Not necessarily, with the attrition we are facing they may have felt they needed more play ready now guys which I don't really disagree with. This young man was going to need 2 maybe 3 years before he was ready to play championship level basketball in the AAC
