  1. Where are you going for your coat? I need to do the same for my wife and I. All I have is t-shirts/polos and all my wife has are those overpriced green sun dresses. A nice green coat would be great.

Sam's Club in Denton has some nice softshell jackets that are warm. I have one and it's one of my favorites.

  2. Yep, have no fear, Mean Green fans are all over the press box side as well. I know 2 large groups that purchased on that side. I am sure this holds true for many tickets purchased through HOD.

I know it's not popular on here, but I didn't care as long as I was there. I was more excited about all these people who wanted to go to a game for the first time this year. I'll be sure to yell Texas when I hear North and I can't wait to hear how it sounds with the acoustics of the Cotton Bowl.

Should just get it going right away during the coin toss. Then we can let the nationally televised audience know who we are.

Amen about the coin toss. I hope that place is LOUD all game long. NOLA bowl made a good impression on TV with the energy and noise level. We can certainly do the same.

  3. You drifted off into the accent colors. Like it or not, the official university colors are currently green, white, and black.

Black has not always been included in the trim. Black used to be listed as a tertiary color, but was promoted at some point. There is definitely more tradition behind the green and white.

Agree about the tradition part. But I think having black as a lesser-used primary color keeps our options open for cool stuff like our blackout uniforms this year. We got two special uniforms in one year, how cool is that?

  4. Lolz.

He didn't get suspended for what he said, he got suspended for what he said being broadcast on national TV.

Far worse things are said on the field between players in the heat of battle and in practice coach to player.

I mean it was a grown man jawing with a college kid. In bad form regardless of what he said. I heard all that and worse playing hockey but it would still be tacky to get it from a coach.

  5. Again, what you don't get is 16k-20k for a bowl is a huge positive for this program.

But that doesn't help you see me in the light that you wish to see me, now does it?

Maybe you should work on your perception of others?

Naw man I'm good. In all reality your acceptance of mediocrity is reflective of our school's seemed desire to stay mediocre. 20k for a bowl in our own backyard would be nothing less than shameful. You can polish that turd however you see fit, as you seem to have more life experience with unrealistic hopes and expectations. God forbid we have standards!

  6. Heart of Dallas Bowl Presented by PlainsCapital Bank: UNLV vs. North Texas

Clay Matvick, Matt Stinchcomb & Dawn Davenport ESPNU

    Also,

Every bowl game on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will also be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members, on Apple TV and Roku to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

  7. Lol!

We will pack 92k into the Cotton Bowl, Mofos!!!!

    Better?

Unrealistic hopes lead to disappointment and eventual abandonment of subject for which that hope was targeted.

I see 16-20k actual bodies in seats as a HUGE win for this program, which apparently is Something you unrealistic rah rah guys just don't understand.

Tell me more about the unrealistic hopes and disappointments that led you to be such a curmudgeon. Positivity breeds positivity and conversely negativity only serves to make everybody feel like a wet towel. Keep up the good work, Scrooge.
