  1. That's fair. To each their own and I mean no animosity. Just don't think it's that big of a deal.
  2. Also don't wanna get too philosophical, but teaching your kids to do the right thing and conforming to the world aren't always mutually exclusive.
  3. And maybe sheltering from a situation where they'd be faced with making that decision isn't the best way to think? Teaching your children to be good people and sheltering them from the world seem like conflicted ideals in my mind. I'm old. I don't feel the need to do the chant. But it's funny and has personality. I don't think it's quite the scourge some would have you think.
  4. How is that relevant? I hope my children have better understanding of context than you all do. I don't think treating my kids like they're dumb is how to do it. The world is the way it is and trying to pretend it isn't doesn't seem great for their development.
  5. I can't imagine being this fragile.
  6. I love that we do this pearl-clutching routine every year because it means we're not too far from the football season actually starting.
  7. Something about it being a bloodsport for our entertainment or something, I'm not sure. I don't disagree with the time and place argument, but it's sorta silly if we zoom out and remember the whole culture surrounding football (or brutal contact sports in general). I played ice hockey all my life and I can tell you that I never had a coach that wasn't cursing like a sailor, and that's a sport known for its class and respect despite that fact.
  8. Idk man, I've been in Death Valley hearing some 15k students yell about fellating a Tiger so who knows?
  9. Won't somebody think of the children?!
  10. At least Army didn't hang 70 on us after an 8-4 season.
  11. I rewatched the UAB game and he was absolutely tearing it up. They couldn't cover him.
  12. It's just misplaced virtue signaling. Nobody here disagrees with honoring veterans but it wasn't really germane to this post on this board.
  13. It would be a really bad look to have Wren tweet back at a fan to reassure Seth's staying and then have his coach sniped a day later.
  14. If the Alabama BOR didn't want this program to exist as a CUSA program, they're DEFINITELY not going to let AAC come calling.
  15. Yeah I don't know if that guy's twitter response came off as cool and unfazed as he might have thought. Rico was talking to a reporter and then this guy goes out of his way to respond on twitter. He's all in his own head
  16. This is what I'm doing in Razorback land. I got the 7 day free trial on Sling and will cancel before it hits my account. It was very easy to get set up.
  17. I think he just lost the starting spot. He's been getting reps though.
  18. This is talking about the NCAA playing players, not the school. It's right there in the title...
  19. If the NCAA is going to continue being a multi-billion dollar business, there should be a payment model for the kids. Period. That's just how you run businesses. Didn't realize so many on this board were anti-capitalist.
  20. Let's note: he has been right 4 games in a row, including Arkansas.
  21. Wait is this the year that Brett's prediction curse is broken?
  22. At the end of the day, I'll just have to make sure I prepare my ass for the three phase reset button and be the most excited team to play.
  23. Well sites definitely get taken down or sent DMCA notices for hosting links like that, so I get it. I would say you could make the offer and then let people know via DM, but I'm not a mod.
  24. I went ahead and did the 7 day trial for Sling as well. It was very easy to sign up. I just set a calendar reminder to cancel the sub before it hits my account next week.
