I don't speak for anyone other than myself. And I completely agree with Euless. You play to win and I would expect nothing less from our Mean Green. I have no doubt that our team will come to play, but I'm anticipating several posts by some people throwing their arms up in the air and claiming that the season is over if we lose to Texas. That's all that I am saying.

I don't know, guys.... Brand new EXTREMELY high paid coach and his first game and at their own huge packed stadium.... I don't see us getting away with much. I wouldn't set that bar too low. Don't go betting your house or car on a W.

Believe what you want but he played a minimal amount of games his Jr and Sr year due to this injury. Maybe there's a qualifying issue too. I don't know that.

I CALLED IT! He has had a recurring foot injury. HENCE- the gray shirt. He is going to be a blast to watch in a year! Hopefully he keeps his speed.

Unless he has an injury that needs a bit of time to heal and they think they have the QB slot covered (not likely)- I would be STUNNED if they gray shirted him. Not a player this sought after. There are a lot of people who will be shocked.

FTR: it's all speculation until they get on the field. There's a big difference in doing well in off season workouts vs. actual live game play. You aren't hitting or being hit in the weight room.

They were both playing Free Safety last year. John had started out as a strong safety but the moved him to FS pretty early in the season. He actually knows both positions and the corner positions as well. Busby got a few reps at FS and was played on 1 Sp T and John started on 4 special teams and didn't see the field in a skill position last year. Zed IS the fastest back we have with John at a close second. Busby was more seasoned at the start of last fall but moved down the depth chart. It really is a situation of some of these players being able to remember the plays. Athletically, they are all pretty even for FS across the board. BUT, leadership and field smarts will level out who wins this spot next year. (But, I'm pretty sure Zed will start as FS. Can't see Warner being consistent.) Trice was an exceptionally smart player and made plays because of it. He was also a huge leader. My money is on possible position changes for a few of these athletes and an unclear starter up to the first conference game.

IT also helps when you can remember coverages. I WOULD BE shocked if Warner comes back full speed and starts. RIGHT NOW, FS is Zed Evans spot to lose if he can pull his head out of his ____ and study the playbook.
