Dash was moved to SS for more depth but will likely be a floater where he's needed unless he beats out someone. Lees health is sketchy. Pegram earned it. Warner's health.....

THIS. And the fact that we have no idea what either of these quarterbacks are going to do in a live game situation. There's really not enough history or film on either one of these guys to know what they're going to do. It's pretty obvious who has the edge when you're watching practice.... But practice isn't game time. And it's definitely not gametime in front of 90,000 people. If our starter doesn't find a groove, we will obviously see the other quarterback. And if he does find a groove- and the game goes really well or really bad: I think we still see second string.

But of course.... Ellis is a key contributor right now.

Yeah that's kind of why I was holding onto it..... That was actually as personal as the entire presser got. He also later went on to imply that he really only needs "one snap" and pre-game jitters will be gone and he will have a good idea of how his opponent moves. I believed him. UT's defense is going to be pretty pretty damn tough.

They sure didn't give anything away as far as who the QB is..... I will say that much. From what I understand- Greer is the front runner. At least that's how it's been perceived to me through the players I've talked to. But I think everybody got snaps today. It was just a mock scrimmage so it was kind of boring. You can definitely see a couple of key players that look like they're battling with some injuries. The music was really loud ( like 140 decibels kind of loud) because they were getting ready to play in front of 90,000 people and not be able to hear shit...

I never turn down a free drink. He played corner in HS. He's been moved to every secondary position since he's been at NT. He's doing pretty damn well, actually. Playing 2nd string SS behind Lee and he's had a pretty good spring. The main thing I noticed different about him is the way he moves now. His hips look a lot more flexible and he's a lot stronger and thicker. We are praying that he stays healthy and keeps improving. . I know for a fact we will see him in skill position on the field plenty this year. We're pretty excited for him.

I agree with everything that you just posted.... But what I'm worried about- I would wager to say that Texas' last scrimmage (before we meet them in Austin) wasn't like ours today. I know these guys are beat up and tired, but the honest to God difference between us and them is that they have players just as talented that haven't been given the opportunity in their third and fourth string.... Let's just hope that our hunger to beat Texas is stronger than the hunger that those guys have to prove themselves worthy of taking the field and trying to earn some attention or earn a spot. If they don't wear us down then I think we have a fighting chance.

Jeez.... Did he like steal your girlfriend? Why is everyone still hating this guy? There were plenty of other things last year when everyone was complaining before the season even started about how we were going to suck and go 4-8.... This is why quarterbacks are always b*tching. They've been bred with the constant need to defend themselves. Whoever they choose this year to start- there will be a method to the madness. I think everybody likes their jobs and scholarships and I'm pretty sure that there are no conspiracies in this club, so let DT go... He went out with a bang and deserves to be treated so. Yep. Defense.... does in fact, win championships.
