  1. Expect it to not be us.
  2. Would happily beat out rice and UNM for his services. We need a tackle in this class.
  3. If I could take any addition left on the board we know of, I think I'd like this kid or McNeal. Really good frame and tons of athleticism. We have a splash on O with Guyton lets add one on D. Although, I'm still optimistic what's up the coaches sleeves. I mean we genuinely had no idea about Guyton until he was pretty much signed.
  4. No, now that you bring it up, that would make sense since it was a one year stop in south bend for both at different points. I wonder if Litrell wants to aim for a bigger out of state presence too. It's an interesting hire. It doesn't really move the needle either way for me. I wonder what he can contribute in a months time. That's a lot to ask at any job.
  5. I wonder if this has any connection to Guyton (former ND receiver who already signed his LOI). This is the except from football scoop for the lazy: Marty Biagi, Southern Biagi is not eligible for the overall FootballScoop Special Teams Coordinator of the Year award as it is strictly an FBS award, but Biagi’s work with the Southern special teams was so impactful they deserved mention among the finalists. Southern notched an incredible eight special teams touchdowns this year, as three separate players returned kickoffs for a total of four touchdowns, returned three punts for touchdowns and blocked a punt for a score. The eight special teams scored are believed to be an FCS record. The Jaguars have notched a total of 14 special teams touchdowns in the past three seasons. Key Stats 4 kickoffs returned for touchdowns 2 punts returned for touchdowns 2 blocked punts 1 blocked punt returned for a touchdown 1 fumbled punt returned for a touchdown
  6. This is me just being pedantic, but wouldn't it be a short leash? Collars are tightened; leashes are shortened and lengthened?
  7. The Red Wolves won 8 games this year including a bowl win over UCF. Why not Ark State over that particular offer list? What makes you think there's more to it Harry?
  8. Ellison has already committed to Ohio, but reported an offer from us today. There was a segement I couldn't find talking about the kid and it said that his nickname should be YAC (yards after contact). Sounds like the kind of big back we need on third down, and develop him into an every down back. He also has offers from Bowling Green (Are we just stalking these guys?), Toledo, Ball State, Youngstown State Measurables: Height: 6'1" Weight" 221 40yd: 4.69 Laser Shuttle: 4.0 Links: http://247sports.com/Player/Morgan-Ellison-88935 https://www.hudl.com/profile/5663970/morgan-ellison
  9. If you read Vito's original article. There was some thought that he wanted to be a receiving tight end. He has most of the measurables but played in a run heavy system in high school from what i've read. Kid wants the ball in his hands (who doesn't). Edit: Just saw his statement with vito. It was exactly that, he wants to catch the ball.
  10. Something else to think about is that SMU just lost a tight end to UT. So maybe that comes into play here? Another thing is about the recruiting ranking, if we go on anything other than the average, we're always going to be way behind. The ranking is basically a sum total of all the recruits. Because of the blue shirting, which payed off for the most part, we will have less recruits adding to the sum total. We will be short by five last I read. That doesn't move the needle too much, but it is worth mentioning. I wish the kid the best, but we have Kelvin Smith returning, Dillman coming back from injury and Chumley. There are recruits I would really hate to lose at this point, Lutz isn't particularly one of them.
  11. Can we talk about how McNeal and Guyton could be our Henderson/Taylor if not better? What a duo for anyone to throw to...
  12. Again, this is speculation, but the most consistent thing I heard about his getting suspended at Notre Dame was for a physical altercation with a teammate(s).
  13. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/190644/jalen-guyton Check out the high school offer list. ESPN four star. Was suspended his freshman year at Notre Dame before electing to transfer. I don't think the why was ever released that I could find. But it was pending resolving a "private university matter".
  14. I'm not sure if i'm over-informed or what, but i felt like the whole post could have said: Davis firm with commitment to UNT. The forums has more than covered the rest lol.
  15. I mean some of us still are paying off our college debt, looking for jobs, trying to buy houses, etc. Some people can only offer support outside of financial, which is perfectly fine. We support UNT every month by making that student loan payment. If I had excess to donate to UNT I would.
  16. This was an awesome read. This is the kind of exposure that will attract some attention. The article talks about how this type of quality football is what bowl season is about. I walked away frustrated today, but man that was some fun football. I'll leave you with the closing line: "The bar has been set. The big-time playoffs have something to live up to." Win or lose this is a proud moment for UNT. I'll take that kind of recognition. The kind for being a gritty team with no quit. Now i'm still reserving judgement on expectation, but this put a smile on my face. Proud as hell, GMG.
  17. Didn't see this, i'll take her down CMJ. Thanks for the catch. Edit: Can't delete topics? @Cerebus to the rescue.

  19. text you
  20. I have two extra GA tickets for free. My Girlfriend and i will be attending, not sure how GA tickets work but you may have to sit by us. So that's a draw back. I can bring them and just meet you at a gate if you're interested. GMG.
  21. http://247sports.com/Player/Seth-Scott-91680 Scott holds a North Texas offer and is crystal balled here, for what it's worth.
  22. I watched this kids film. He is quick for his size. Incredible pulling speed. He uses his hands and is physical. He has a 9-minute long pancake highlight real. Trinity didn't really seem to pass much, so i'd like to see a little more of that, but he has quick feet. Has some tenacity and blocks at the second level. On a side note, the more Polynesian kids we have on the team (TJ Tauaalo) the better chance we will have recruiting more. It's a tight-knit community and family, and I would love to become a preferred destination. Full Disclosure: My grandfather is 100% Hawaiian and i'm totally bias.
  23. But all those people are warm.
  24. I would love a cole beasly 3rd down guy.
