Also, on his twitter he said he had Tulane and Arkansas offers listed : https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2018/reggie-williams-180962 UTSA offer posted on his twitter. (Which should be Litrell's first heads up win?) -

Offers from: Arizona, Indiana, Navy, Purdue, Tulsa, North Texas and Utah.... That's an A, right @BillySee58 ? So pumped... -
I would love to join this discussion, but the episode isn't on Youtube yet.

Must have watched the FAU game... (Yes, i'm aware it's not a football recruit)

I'm actually a little worried about RB down the road. We don't have a prototypical back right after Jeff is gone. I'd like to see some prototypical size/speed in a RB. Even if he needed a red shirt year. Nic Smith is listed at 5"8, 182. We either need a bruiser or a prototype back to compliment him. I'll be interested to see Smith when he isn't our change-up.

HA. As I mentioned before, you want butts in seats you deliver consistent, winning product. I hope this is a reawakening for this young team. Bad games happen, and I expected to drop atleast on of one to USM, UTSA orFAU. I'm not disappointed in the loss, but I am in the performance. Still going to root for the team, this isn't a fire-sale moment. This is a big wake up call. Hopefully we pick up the damn phone.

Regarding threads for players we aren't recruiting
Caw Caw replied to BillySee58's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
We aren't, but should be recruiting Tyler Jackson - DeSoto. Projects to be a true middle linebacker (i've heard we've done pretty well with a linebacker from DeSoto before). The kid is on the cusp of some bigger offers, has interest from Texas St, Duke, UTSA, Boise, but no offer yet. I think it would be big if we offered first as I know this is a position of need. He is 6'1", 220 Lbs and plays downhill, physical and great play recognition. He's surrounded by D1 talent and is in no way outclassed on film. https://www.hudl.com/profile/6133267/tyler-jackson https://247sports.com/Player/Tyler-Jackson-45572372 Just like Perry from DeSoto last year, I think this kid will blow up towards the end of the recruiting cycle and would rather get in on him early. I don't know where you guys send this stuff so the coaches see it, I'd be happy to do it if you get me the info. Beyond that, we need to continue building these high school relationships in places like DeSoto. -
Frankly, I don't care if we move the ball zero yards on offense. Sack their QB in the end zone and get 2 points to win the game. Just win it.

Kameron King. 3 star kid from Marshall, TX. The guy has a good offer list. Beat out ULM, Memphis, Southern Miss and Tulane among a host of smaller schools.
-
Watched some guys talk about him on twitter once. After his highlight from the bowl game they were tagging their friends saying that's the dude who killed us in high school. RBJ is the real deal, does his work in silence. I continue to hope he stays healthy. He's a nice balance to Guyton.

I now see offers on Rivals for Ark St, MTSU, Southern Miss, Troy and Ourselves. Along with a bunch of non-D1 schools.

DRC: Report -- Star FAU wide receiver reinstated for UNT game

According to his own Twitter, Sid Moore traveled with the team. No reason to travel if he isn't playing, right? -
Appreciate the feedback. Sorry about Johnson's health, but according to everything I can find he was touted by the Kiffin era's first recruit. You're obviously much closer to the program. Woods shouldn't be on the team. Period. Chris Kiffin has faced some allegations from his time at Ol' Miss. There are several other players dismissed from programs and a lawsuit against Kiffin over McGriff. I'm not saying they aren't personable personalities for the program, but we do tend to think the ethics portion of CFB is as important as the winning. We understand that is a disadvantage and that not all fans feel that way. As far as what happened at Baylor. You'll find zero sympathy for father or son. That many problems don't arise without the staff knowing about it. It was a systemic problem. And if by some miracle they were ignorant, they didn't care about it enough to look.
-
This is really what makes Briles/Kiffin dangerous. The WR was supposed to be suspended pending the charges. The charges are still pending and they activate him because they need some big plays in a big game. But why wouldn't they? They took their very first recruit in the Kiffin era with video footage of him hitting a woman. There is at least one more big time signing with similar charges. Briles is still part of one of the biggest scandals in the NCAA. Reggie Bush was treated worse than the Briles for taking side money. He doesn't care about anything other than winning. I suspect FAU will pay the toll to cross this bridge when Kiffin leaves.
-
Yeah they got 4 INTs off of ODU's freshman QB who currently has a 42% completion rating currently sitting at 5 TD/8 INT. Another 3 INTs off of Stockstill's back up at MTSU. Urza has thrown 10 INT and 7 TD on the year. If you take away those 7 they are -1 in the turnover department.
-
I Listened. As someone who stayed and always stayed (including freezing rain game for seniors two years ago), I find the gripe of people leaving completely unwarranted. We've been BAD for a decade. Some of these guys were on those teams contributed to the culture and teams that went 1-11. The fans don't owe you anything. AND, outside of the aggies most teams would have seen similar results, especially in the G5 landscape. and @BeyondTheGreen is correct, Longhorns and Sooners aren't UNT fans, but PLENTY of UNT fans grew up sooners and longhorns fans. And over their time at UNT, when we weren't good they took solace in other teams. There will always be a hardcore base who shows up, chats on forums, proselytizes for the Mean Green. We need to grow that base who feels that way but we need more wins. It was a great , if not the greatest moment i've experienced, incredibly glad I didn't miss it, but the players outrage is super misplaced.

Texas at San Antonio fans are moving toward the acceptance phase
Caw Caw replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I think, as a lot of coaches say, running the table is incredibly hard to do. Saban talked about how hard it is when you're winning and expected to win to keep guys motivated and to play to their potential every week. Sometimes, just like regular folk, we have days where we want to just write it in. I think FAU is our toughest go. I'm not by any means looking past LaTech. If they had either or both of their receivers back from last year (Henderson nightmares), I think we'd be in for some serious trouble, their offense isn't what it was the past few years, that benefits us. Again still a solid conference team. FAU may have the most talent with their "ethical clean slate" approach. If they're willing to take whatever good talent regardless of ethical quandaries, it's going to create a talent advantage in most match ups. I think Litrell has created a culture and system that helps overcome some talent deficits and it's a good thing for UNT. If we ever can get a top 3 recruiting class to go with the system, it could be pretty scary for the rest of the conference.- 74 replies
