    We have close to 10k more season ticket holders and average nearly 5k more in total attendance. Keep that in mind. If we are an afterthought to SA god knows what you are to DFW.

    So let me get this straight: 1.Coker and the players are excited that they have something to play for, regardless of how slim the chances are. 2.UNT fan thinks it's ridiculous that they are excited. Honest question, why are yall such a hateful fanbase? Seriously yall are hands down the worst I've come across. Hopefully yall are nicer in person or else I'll have to slap yall upside the head.

    Yeah, the same UConn that despite the 0-9 start still has more prestige and national appeal than UNT. They are a household name in basketball...UNT on the other hand can't even get enough support locally to sell out their stadium.

    What metric? I never said UTSA was better, we're both Tier 2 unis taking steps towards Tier 1. My point was noone is Rices equal academically.

    Nobody stacks up to Rice academically. I'm sure if given a choice they'd rather come along with us to the AAC than stay behind with the likes of UNT though.

    Of course you don't. La Tech didn't expect a drop-off from last year either. I'm also sure a lot of our fans won't expect a drop-off in '15 after we graduate a big class next year. A biased fan doesn't have to expect it for it to happen.

    You lose Orr, Abee, Chancellor and Thompson along with about 20 other seniors. You should worry about maintaining your own success before worrying about UTSA, little girl.

    Too bad all the facilities and budget did was earn UNT a seat in CUSA, just like UTSA. I wonder who will call us up when we are done with our facilities? Can't wait to leave UNT behind tbh.

    Yeah, they weren't the key. Again all those shiny facilities wouldn't have got you in if you were located in the middle of nowhere. Like I said once SMU moved to the AAC you were the obvious choice for the market, it's likely you get the call-up even without your upgrade in facilities since there's noone else below you that could represent DFW. UTSA gave people a reason to be tabbed as a program with a lot of potential (on-field success and attendance records). We weren't handed that label. C-USA gambled on the potential and so far it's paid off. The gamble was earned imo, and we've also shown we belong.I can see how people that clawed their way in can be bitter about it though. It's a different ball game in the Power 5. From my understanding UT and A&M blocked the big markets like Houston out of the Big 12 for their own greedy reasons. Thats doesnt happen in non-AQ conferences like C-USA. Again just take a look at the new members that came into C-USA this year (plus ODU and Charlotte) and tell me what they all have in common? Market, market, market. Maybe because both SMU and UNT for the DFW market wouldve been redundant?

    I'm not completely discounting them (they are nice), I'm saying they played a minimal role compared to market. Would you agree with that? UTSA didn't get an invite for no reason either. It was based on potential. And so far it's panned out, and not just the on-field and attendance success in football. The cross country team just won a conference title, the volleyball team will face Tulsa for the same honor, the baseball team is coming off a WAC title and should contend. UTSA athletics has shown it belongs in this conference.
